Who's the young kid? How do you even know they've got a young kid he's keeping out?

If Inverleigh are ever going to win the flag it's this year, nothing wrong with backing in the big fella to have an impact. Maybe you should apply for the coaching gig down there next season, seeing as they've "lost the plot".
Really?
Any kid in the reserves, that is pushing for senior selection is better than a 42 year old debutante.
If l was playing in the 2's and pushing for a game l would be devestated. Shame, shame, shame!

From what I have heard, as of next year, along with the introduction of promotion and relegation, each team will be only allowed to play 40 Points.
All teams will have been given three years to create appropriate junior programs hence promoting local talent and subsequently creating lists for the future.
To be honest while I like the concept of the points system, with GDFL clubs struggling to field U19 sides, It can't work in the long term mind you this is only my opinion, I'm definitely interested in what other people think

What’s the go down at east geelong? There reserves side would beat there senior side
Obvisouly dont know how to recruit with the point system, must have a few senior players that are 4 point players and have to play 1 point reserve players in the seniors to fit in the other half of recruits
Correct me if I’m wrong, just thought it was too good to be true with how many players were listed in east geelongs ins and outs

No stability look at the turnover of players each year! This don’t happen with the top clubs they keep their core group together look at Bell Post Hill, Inverleigh and to a lesser extent North Geelong. Losing 10-12 players and replacing them each year doesn’t allow the team to improve and once again you will find they continue the spiral down the ladder they will finish bottom 2. And if your a bottom team you need a playing coach who is in your best 2 players look how Thomson turned it around by appointing Howell-Taylor brought in two good players and look now improved massively last 2 seasons

was a very good appointment by Thomson, although They don’t have much depth either, was a very scrappy game on there behalf of Anakie , could of punished Anakie a lot more? Maybe a year or two could see Thomson back in top 4

No depth? Their 2s played off in a grand final last year. Anakie were tipped to be a top 5 side this year so to beat them by 51 points playing 3 qtrs of footy is a good effort for round 1 in 30 degree heat. Also what do you mean "back in top 4"? They finished 4th the last two years and were clearly the 4th best side in the comp going from their demolition jobs of north in both elimination finals

Anakie beat Tarneit by 3 points ... they ain’t a top 5 side mate (before anyone pulls out they were missing players , only decent player was the ruckman that sat out) , I’ll tip Werribee to finish higher then Thomson this year bud good luck to them making finals without a Brent or Jackson M

Brent didn't play with Thomson in 2017 and Jackson played mostly in the reserves last season.

Let’s see how Thompson back it up this week against BPH that will show the league where they are at.

We will see who’s a few years behind when Thomson don’t make finals this year
The coaches have done a good job 4 years in the role and no higher than 4th People remember coaches if they win premierships for there club. Not a chance of getting that. Bring back the big red and we may have a real chance.

I see Jason Bourke named on bench for Inverleigh.
This guy can seriously play! Tough as nails with exceptional skills who will go through the midfield. One of the best tacklers l have seen play. Originally from South Warrnambool. Will dominate with Blake Hutchison and Seddon. Lets hope his brother Shane pulls the boots on too. Shane if he plays and JKH will be unstoppable. These guys are the missing link for Inverleigh. I now predict these guys for the flag!!

Shane hardly unstoppable played a full year at Corio and didn’t set the world on fire

Just another mark mcdowell recruit from when he coached at Corio, maybe a stand out in a bottom team but let’s see him in a top team before we go pumping his tyre
