Not sure this the place to bring that up, some pretty strong allegations if true.

On a football note, north geelong really brought bannockburn back to reality and probably shoulf have won by more
He's just repeating what was said on the radio, he's not actually doing anything wrong.

should of clarified. If it was spoken about and mentioned on the radio fair enough but i wouldnt have thought they would go near that on air either. Wasnt sure if the radio was mentioned to justify talking about it.

It was on the radio more coverage than this site, if its true the club has done the right thing, end of story

Inverliegh remind me alot of bell post hill in there first premiership year.
Alot of homegrown kids, maybe need a couple more quality recruits to top there list off but they are very close.

Hi Snail, when they bring in the points system certain clubs who have juniors in the seniors like Inver, North, Belmont (have 6 from their junior system), (any others....?Bannockburn?) will be in a better position. This year there are only 8 GDFL clubs with colts teams so the clubs without under 18s might want to put some effort into the juniors......Thomson, Bell Post Hill, Geelong West and this year Inverleigh have no 18s., what do you think, open for discussion.

I suppose bph are lucky that alot of there players came through there juniors, but it definitely wont last. North geelong should be fine as alot if there list are there own kids.
Might effect weribee big time, as all they seem to do is recruit blokes from neighbouring leagues.
Its a must have for the gdfl and football in geelong, what makes it hard on all gdfl clubs is the lure of gfl for young kids which the gfl clubs really make the most of it, having 2 teams even 3 in some age groups.

It was on the radio (94.7) saturday,, the dismissal was not just based on calling players weak as piss on facebook, certain players had there naked asses smacked by the whole team ( this i`m sure is not in the coaches manual ) i wish i could find it on the net as i only heard bits and pieces and the comentary team were disgusted.
The player who got smacked asked to do it because of something bad he'd done in the game prior. The player is related to the coach and the coach made sure it was okay with the players parents first. So get your facts right. Also what pulse reported wasnt entirely true and obviously put a real negative spin on it all all media does.

Are you saying a player has asked to have his ass smacked by the team ? And the coach has followed up on that and asked parents about it. that is a very wierd form of teaching/coaching or is that just me. Also on the players behalf

i am pretty sure that in the coaching manual this behavior is not acceptable even if the parents agreed to it, and i cant see the entire teams parents accepting this behavior if they did well they are at fault also, get over it, this incident in the real world is not acceptable, my cousin plays netball with this club and if incidents like this are the norm i hope she gets out ASAP

It is sexual harassment, bordering on criminal behaviour and perversion. Surely this didn't happen???? No parent on earth would allow this, AFL Barwon need to investigate this if it's true.

Being under 18 and a 1/2 i would say a lot of players are over 18 but being a country club there are most likely be players 14,15,16,17 and parents of this age group i am sure would not have agreed to this as acceptable behavior, i am sure the socit geelong would like to hear about this incident.

I agree, but regardless if the players are over 18 or not, this coach, IF it happened, is a deviant, parents who agreed, which I hope none would, are irresponsible and no better than the coach if they did. This coach needs to be deregistered immediately by AFL Barwon, and charged by police.

Totally agree, if the club had decent hierarchy
i am sure the club would have had Afl barwon involved and his coaches accreditation no longer exists.

I cant believe Im reading this. What on earth.

Anyway, I like the chat about the points system and rewarding clubs who play "homegrown" players. Your right that many clubs have strayed away from it. Werribee is a big one. Once upon a time they won 3 flags on the trot (different era) playing a side mostly made up of local people. If they had their time again, Id imagine the committee would have had a bigger influence on who was brought into the club. And stronger push to play the kids. Plenty of half decent football people are now involved in other clubs due to a strong change in environment a handful of years back. Right or wrong, you cant argue with the numbers. Neighbouring Wyndhamvale took the best crop of kids. Reschke, Ellis , Hamilton, Molivas, Barrilaro , Cachia, Chesterman (westbourne) all should have been the core group right now at the duck pond, but unfortunately were given no love at the time they came through.
Hopefully they are back on the right track with Skid, from the outside looking in, it seems they have given the kids some good chance to dip their toes into senior footy.
GDFL is better when Werribee are up and about. Hopefully a couple of years and the new crop of kids take the next step and they are back in the mix.

Some players in the final interleague team that wouldn't get a game for the top 3 teams in the GDFL. All the best to them but half that team shouldn't be in the final squad. Maybe heaps pulled out or something?

Ok here who should be playing next week who isn't! Reece Howell can start on ball for BFL but can't get in GDFL best 50, Jayden Durran kicked 6in Queenscliff flag triple premiership player, Michael Leamer 100 goals in qld, Jordan Burke vic country Captain, Joel page back to back 50+in premiership team, brad Huhn starting mid from the NEAFL. James Huybens best ruck in league by a mile, dean Muir inverleighs best player. How do these guys get missed how about getting people who actually know the league and do there due diligence not picking mates who run the league to run inter league. good luck to the boys who are playing

Burke unable to train due to work commitments but put his hand up to play! Would of thought the vic country captain gets a game....

Jordy Burke would have a bit of knowledge of a few of the Horsham District players as well, he is mates with a lot of them and has played with or against quite a few of them, plus the City Oval was his home deck for a long time.

I disagree i would cut players such as Burke if it's true he hasn't trained... You want players who are committed simple as that!

thoughts on the Thomson tigers? who was at the game? surely they're a premiership threat knocking off a team like North Geelong!
