Would the interleague players hold their own in the top comp in Geelong?
Say the gdfl ruckman would he go all right in the main Geelong league?
Or say the full forward be able to kick a fair few goals in the main Geelong league?

Lovitt Rucked in best qld league mullane-grant dominated at Geelong west so I would say yes and Jordan Burke chf is was vic country captain last year so that would be a yes.

correct me if im wrong but i think Symes who was a ruckman at bell post hill went to geelong west in the gfl and won there b&f.

No mate, not at all, he trained at East, Belmont and Inverleigh, I dont think East and Belmont were willing to pay X amount, obviously Inverleigh were......and before the Corio supporter bangs on about respect for Bazza I have alot for him, I watched him hand out blankets to the homeless in a Corio shirt last year and he has been loyal to Corio but Inverleigh are flying, their reserves are undefeated and now they will have to drop someone to make room for him, could cause a few to be disgruntled...that may have been why Belmont backed away $$$$$ and trust the currrent playing group.

talking to barry
1. belmont did not pull out barry picked inverleigh noing he might not get in there ones
2. barry is on win lose payments like every one els at inver
3.belmont offered him a lot more he is not about money never has been if he was he would off left corio long time ago
4. so get facts right
5. i hope he proves all the back seat baggers wrong he nos he might not even get in ones but least he is willing to have a crack he has been a very good player over the years time to look after him self and i hope he does get in the ones and win a prem he deserves it

How's everyone's predicted top 5 going?? Any big suprises or big disappointments? I've seen all top 5 side play and would say inverleigh, bannockburn and north have been the best sides. Obviously inverleigh been the best as banno and north have only beaten spud teams but the way banno and north have moved the footy is very good and quick. Big game between them this week. Who gets the chocolates?Froggy massive loss for north. I've heard another ACL. Any truth behind that??

If he didn't fit into your calculations. Why call Barry? Why ask him to train? And then belmont say thanks but no thanks. That just dosnt make Leo. sth barwon and grovedale will be a very important match for both clubs. The old 8 point game.

Yes unfortunately - Krock footy: NORTH Geelong’s premiership ambitions have suffered a major blow with star forward Paul Breguet suffering a second serious knee injury in less than two years.

2/ NO
3/ NO.
The GFL and GDFL leagues are miles apart, there are players in GDFL that are years past there best even having come from in the 2nd tier comp. ie BFL. Eg Mullane Grant, Maher, O'Toole. These guys were stars in their day, a long, long time ago. but are still playing GDFL seniors. That says it all.

Those guys played more GFL footy than BFL but I get your point, although gfl not all that when ya consider guys who were playing 2s at anakie are now 1s players at Lara

I understand your point and agree with most but i think you cant throw in the whole league in that basket, yes mullane grant is on one leg now, maher is a old joke and otoole just jogs around. The top sides definantly have more than a few guys that could play in gfl and hold their own and to disregard the whole league and players on a select few is ignorant and doesnt do players who work hard justice.

On the lara topic, they would get beat by bph, north, inver. And its funny because the same people who say gdfl are no good are the same people who say about lara losing to the 2nd worst side by 100 points. "yeah but thats the gfl". Your team will not get within 15 goals of anyone this year and you have the nerve to rag on other guys
