he would want a nice phone that has loudspeaker - tough to coach if you dont train or hang around the club.
Corio will need knew jumpers with names on them so he knows who he is talking to.

Is there any truth behind mark McDowell taking a few blokes with him to inverleigh? The Burke brothers, billy Nichols & berg? Bremmer trotter & hybens to east, interesting game round 2 when they face each other

Happy new year "the voice" - Belmont are looking to improve alot, lost 17 players but have signed 32 new ones.
No huge names on huge coin, just some very handy footballers from in and around the region. Still talking to a few but sadly like most will agree money plays a big part in recuiting so called big recruits and we are not Sth Barwon financially. The club is in the good position of having 7 boys come up from the 18s as well that will play seniors plus gun ex junior Heath Walsh has come back from Grovedale. We play Corio at Corio first up then West, Thomson, Anakie and Bannockburn before a trip out to reigning premiors North in round 6 so the first 5 rounds will be interesting to see where we are at.
The good news for the club is we finally have a new netball court behind the bottom oval so no more Oberon for the girls.

Some left for money, a few retired, a couple moved away, a couple sooked, a few were 2s players and gone bush, remember we finished 12th, we have well covered the losses, Brad Edwards, Canavan, Duggan, Miller, etc are all signed and all training, we start back on Monday 13th.
 
East Geelong are after former sth barwon, winch and current barwon heads player Josh Rees. He would add a lot of grunt to the midfield

if clubs are going to bend over and cop it from other clubs in the league, then why should we work together to promote it?

BPH will fight this. they have more to lose than just a player who doesnt want to play
If the League lets it go through, it will be the last dollar i put into any club in the GDFL.

if you sign at a club and the contract is filled in correct and you signed after your current contact is finished which all contracts run out on the 1st Oct by the vcfl rulings... If all is done correctly it's upto the clubs to work it out. The vcfl will not clear him if it'. More money,coaching roll it doesn't matter.BPH have all the power... Unless they stuffed up in the wording of the contract... Holzy may be a none playing assistant... Or BPH clear him with getting a bit of cash and keep a good name for themselves...one must remember the club is bigger than any one individual...

Everyone is forgetting that when holzy left Corio it was in the middle of the year and he was in a contract! Corio let holzy go to bell post hill and Corio got nothing in return I'm pretty sure? He done his time at bell post now they should have enough respect for him and Corio and return the favour that Corio done for them years ago......

So I'm assuming everyone starting pre season tomorrow? Anyone with any news? Got told symes from bph signed with geelong west st peters! Early reports have north flying and east overtaking bph at the top. Thomson might be in a little bit of turmoil at the present, can't afford to lose one or two key players might be a longer year then they expect! How are the Lorne recruits traveling at winchelsea?
 
Anyone within Corio confirm asking the league for a money handout, only sounds odd after they've been offering players loads of cash to come play

so have Corio asked the league for a cash injection?

because if true, effectively Corio are asking the other clubs to fund the poaching of a contracted player from one of those clubs.....so what benefit does the league get from that handout?

Corio has not asked the leauge for money as far as anyone at that club knows? Don't know where this rumour is coming from it's not true!

I was referring to Holzfiend and jovanovic also.. Might only be 2 players but if it was indeed true about the money then sounded odd to be chasing guys. Apparently the rumour about the league handout came from within the leagues ranks
