Hey Guys, just chasing some information on a couple of players we had at training recently anyone know of Luke Van Krieken and Lee Hardman? How do they go?
What club are you from? Lee Hardman won a league B&F at the age of 18 and then went on to play a few years in the GFL before returning to North Geelong but has had a few injuries. Luke Van Krieken isn't too bad for a GDFL player, bit flashy at times but nothing special and doesn't run both ways. Doesn't do too well against a bigger body and lacks consistency. Kicked 41 goals in 2013 but only 15 last season.

Are Geelong west avaliable for a practice match on the 14th of March at our ground at north sunshine?? Divison 3 of western region

Watched the Belmont Lions train tonight, they had 57 on the track. There appears to have been an influx of more than a dozen from Deakin Uni,not sure on any of the names, from what I saw 4-5 of these boys are walk up starts in the Lions best 22.The BELMONT LIONS appear to have forged a beneficial relationship with DEAKIN UNI,I know they have also landed 5 A Grade netballers out of Deakin.

You know there coming

They're.

A lot of players look good on the track.

People are too quick to look at recruits this time of year. The best form of recruiting is retention.

I had a look at belmont's training last night. Yes they had lots of players on the track. The drills they did are very basic something you see at junior level. I Wouldn't imagine BPH or North doing under 10s drills.

I would suggest when you have 65 players on Belmont's ground you would have to keep it pretty basic as the ground is no bigger then a 10 cent piece.

What were you doing down their David Bain? Spying?

Have you been watching BPH or North train? What type of senior drills have they been doing?

David,I've spoken to the coaching panel and they would welcome you with open arms to take a few high quality drills, thanks in advance champ.Does Monday night at 6pm work for you ??

They aren't training at Winters Reserve....cricket is still going for the next 2-3 weeks.

Incorrect, they're definitely training at Winter Reserve, just without goal posts on the top oval hence why their practice matchs aren't being played at the home ground.

Anyone know anything about practise matches held over the weekend?

David Bain supervised training at Belmont on Friday night and the Lions responded to his professional drills by beating Laverton by 30 goals on Saturday, we had 20 missing due to work and cricket, 10 definite walk up senior players, but no disrespect to Laverton they tried hard and must have had a few out too.

All I know about practice games is that Nth Geelong showed once again how very, very ordinary their junior culture is, having an all in brawl in their colts PRACTICE games vs a very disciplined Altona team, who beat them by about 100.

Thanks David

Good to see Belmont can beat the second worst side in divi 3 in the western region. I've seen all the practice matches the gdfl sides are playing and why do they like playing teams for worse leagues. Should just do what bell post do and not have them. Would get more out of playing each other than a crappy side. The only tough practice match a gdfl team is playing is north and they played Altona. Would like to know how they went against decent opposition.

Belmont is the 5th worse side in the 3rds division in Geelong pretty much so I don't see the problem with them playing a division 3 WRFL side.

Inverleigh surely has to be punished for their latest act! When will the hawks learn?

all in brawl LOL, disgraceful

Fair point, but let's judge Belmont after a game against BPH. Not against other shit sides. I'm not bagging Belmont, I actually hope they do well but there is way too much preseason chat. Let's talk about the season proper and the predictions.

Someone asked a question about practice matches on the weekend and I believe Punchy replied with a result of their match.

Banno beat Kilmore by 130 points is that a good result?

Well that practice match was more useless than belmonts. KILMORE?? Bottom of the ladder in the worst Melbourne football league the Riddell football league. I'm suprised banno didn't win but 230 points.
