I wasn't being negative? I merely asked why is some bloke who has been brought in a week before round 1 a better player than 2 established stars that are already on the list?

Seems like a valid question to me as it's quite a big claim considering some of the players already on the list. You seem to know a bit about the club so maybe you could shed some light on it?
 
Thomson were flogged by Barwon Heads in a praccy.. Anyone think Possible wooden spoon chance?

And Corio were being well and truly beaten by Newcomb in their cut short practice match.. What does that say about each of those teams?

What that tells you is that Barwon Heads will be playing finals in BFL and Thomson won't be in the GDFL. And with Newcomb result, that tells us that Newcomb whilst being a little bit more competitive in BFL, whilst remaining on the bottom and Corio will be bottom 2-3 in the GDFL.
That's my thoughts, anyone else want to have their opinion?

Giants will jump over 4 teams on the ladder.
Beat the Lions with no bench for last 1/3 of game
Stop drinking your own bath water before posting opinions
Tell Fisher to give any match payments he recieves to his teammates to drink over the bar as his apology , understanding Cricket was his priority till last Tuesday
Take Finals off your agenda Belmont

Lost 10 .4 went to Corio.4 gave it away.Picked up 20 new players At least 6 as automatic replacements . Renember only round 1 .Will not finish bottom 2.Takes 3 to 4 games to settle with 14 new players .Lets revisit this in a month.

Belmont also with only 2 on the bench prior to 1/4 time. No excuses, Giants were the better team on the day, and it's good for there club and good for the competition. HOWEVER, this is only hearsay at this stage but I'm lead to believe that the GIANTS may have recorded 3 of there 4 point players as 1 pointers, the GFL GIANTS AND GDFL GIANTS are not the one entity for the purpose of the the points system.
Stay tuned as I'm sure this situation is currently under investigation.Lions would happily take the 4 points, but it would be an extremely hollow victory if this were to come to fruition.
Whilst I'm a LIONS man I would be disappointed for Simon and Chris and there supporters if this contentious issue is proven

Stott, Toner and Richti are returning 40+ game Juniors =1pt
No matter their senior history
Clutching at straws with hope of investigation to turn result.
The league post player values not the clubs , all the clubs do is enter the list of players which have to be below the points or the team cant be registered for the round.
Why do you think the merge went ahead, to get access to the Giants junior data base

THIS is bullshit AFL Barwon! Truth is there were 4 players that got given 1 pt because they played under 18s at the GFL Roosters years ago, 2 of them have been at Barwon Heads seniors since. The Giants should be renamed the Cheatahs again! And before you all have a crack Lee Hartman has sent a precedent, Belmont can make an arrangement with Grovedale or South Barwon and have access to their entire junior system, what a joke.

And I was seriously going to post today congratulations to the Giants on their win, they were too good. Not now!

west win their first game in a decade n punchy doesnt giv them credit for it, wants to take 4 points off em and wont congratulate them. shows ur character m8 i bet Tanner made his peace losing to a better side on the day... probably shows the difference between yas

Stewie, I was 100% gonna post they are a much improved unit and deserved the win and will push many sides, trust me, I had a a beer with ex president Simon Cavallo at half time, good bloke and congratulated him on all the hard work and exciting times ahead but I am allowed an opinion and for a club that has never had juniors to be allowed access to the GFL Roosters entire junior data base and then give them 1 point is totally manipulating the system and forget about me or Belmont, I can assure you the other 10 clubs are not impressed. Cheers

InCorrect. Geelong West clubs have merged under 1 entity playing in 2 different leagues where there playing members can find a level suitable to their abilities . Returning juniors who have played over 40 games can CHOOSE which level suits their current playing standards but play for their ORIGINAL junior club. It has been well advertised you know over the past 12 months.
You are complaining about a couple of 30 + year olds , not high level GFL players switching leagues

Incorrect? These blokes never played one single GDFL footy game for blue west. So they had nothing to do with blue west.

So if Jayden Symes decides to play GDFL footy he can play at both BPH or Geelong West and be a 1 pt player. That is a joke.

No. If Jayden Symes wants to play GDFL he has his junior history at the Panthers = 1pt
To play Giants GDFL he would be liable to all penalties for a transferring GFL player to a district league. B&F etc = 4 pts
Why do I have to explain it?
Read the rules they are the same for everyone
Is it true that Belmont are considering a merge with Grovedale or Sth Barwon to get access to future and past juniors. That's BIG NEWS ,all off the back of a round 1 loss to the 12th ranked team. FOOTBALL BARWON will be excited

mayb none of that matters coz west r stil no good, n belmont felt the toll of all departures n r no good either. just saw west play bellpost n belmont play anakie next so take it easy..west will lose by 100 n anakie beat belmont n everythin makes sense again n we r talkin bout 11v12 n how they r cheating point systems

Ah ok just junior players are one point. I just don't understand why Geelong West St Peters junior players are worth 1 point to play GDFL. In my opinion they should only be 1 point only if they play GFL.
 
Anyone see Anakie vs Werribee on the weekend? Anakie as good as they've been saying all off season or Werribee not as good as predicted by the addy?
Also apparently Fairchild from Anakie that kicked 5 and Jones from Werribee that kicked 4 are both young guys, anyone know where there from and how long they've been playing at their respective clubs?

It's time Lee Hartman moved on. He is a yes man to the powerful clubs, not an independent administrator.... And that's in all 3 leagues. Goodbye Lee.

What an absolute farce Stott, Ritchi and Toner have never step foot at Blue West how are these blokes 1 point this is a disgrace this is so wrong clubs need to jack up about this
