3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

You're so clueless I'll try putting the facts into pictorial form in the hope of getting through to you. Look & learn stabby.

Even Collingwood was able to play two GF's in a row without losing one.
Collingwood dynasty > Cats premiership.

Lol silly widdle handbaggers, so cute.

What's laughable is that in only 1 of their 3 failed B2B attempts did they even make the GF, and in the only year they did they were probably the shortest priced favorite in history to lose!

Flying under the radar and jagging a flag is one thing but backing up the year after when you are The Hunted is infinitely harder. Which is why Geelong's little run can hardly be called a dynasty, since the principle of succession that is integral to the concept.

Second para is about 2008/09?

Why didn't Essendon win a flag in 2012 if they were using the same program. It supposedly netted us 3 flags so it must have been good enough to get the Bombers at least one.

Geelong were a more experienced list who had already been to prelims, and thus were able to handle the extra stress than sudden weight gain put on their bodies. :thumbsu: Therefore the PEDs were a success there.

I don't think Geelong can ever confidently assess their flags now without severe suspicion.

Podgey it infuriates me that both our traditional rivals are massive drug cheats. We need to start shopping around for a club that isn't... how 'bout Norf?

Well it's quite obvious, Essendon had a shit list and a shit coach. The Peds made them an ok team.
Geelong had a good list, largely due to striking father son gold lottery and then the PED's made them better. The PED's were good enough for them to have a non dynasty era.

You would think we haven't won a final for 30 years the way these flogs carry on. Yes you won three in a row, it's ******* amazing it's happened in this era, we'll done. Please celebrate and move on for ****s sake.

Nobody likes drug cheats.

I have used your table of Premiers since 2000 and in the interest of fairness worked out the rightful winners in order to list the Dynasty's of this era. I will only be breaking down the teams that met the Official AFL decreed minimum requirements of a B2B for dynasty recognition, and who were cheated.

West coast were the first to be beaten by cheats, the COLA cheats. so they are awarded 2005 giving them a B2B.
Collingwood were the next team eligible for recognition. In 2011 Collingwood encountered the Geelong Danks and despite their best efforts could not overcome the PED's and therefore have been awarded the 2011 Premiership, giving them a B2B and recognition of a dynasty.
The next team is the clean as a whistle all conquering Hawthorn. The Hawks lost a Premiership to COLA cheats and Demetriou Prelim tampering and have therefore been awarded the 2012 Premiership making that a double B2B.
Official AFL era dynasty ladder.
1st Hawks
2nd Brisbane
3rd Adelaide (awarded 3rd for undisputed B2B)
Equal 4th Collingwood and West Coast.

Top 2 threads in bigfooty are obsession fests started by Hawks supporters..
oh wow, we are in their heads :$
No obsession here, Benwah I think it was said it best. This is the Hawks, Cats shit fighting containment thread.
Oh and it's also about a minnow club going broke 2 years after its greatest ever era ended.

Hmm. I'd rather my club building upon its historical base. than your club turning its back on your historical homeland and building on a dung heap :$
we made a loss because we are redeveloping our stadium, I'm comfortable with that.

Ive heard this sudden weight gain argument where Cats put on 9kgs during an off season. if it was just due to PEDs how do the Hawks explain how Shoenmakers did the same thing in an off season going from 82 to 91kgs.

The Geelong Dank method was 7kg in 7 weeks, an off-season goes for much longer than that.
