i do agree with you about being at the wrong end of the ladder. But i believe the St Albans game was alot closer than a 5 goal game with St Albans getting a few cheap ones at the end. Ive just checked the results and Clark has been in the best the last 5 games he has played in and at the start of this thread Sleeman is named in the best side so to say they wouldnt make a difference is ridiculous. Aaron Barlow is also missing who i believe is very important to them off half back

I'm just not sure they woulda been a massive difference that the result would've changed. St Albans have there fair share of injurys 2 with nicollson and panther out through injury among others.
Sleeman is a very good player no doubting that.
I don't think sam clarke being in the best is the issue, he was recruited there to kick goals, id recken lara would've expected 60 goals+ out of him

Great Team there. Just a few changes i would make to it, Carson to full forward clinton wells back to the pocket and saunders up to chf. just because the other week i saw clinton wells play from the pocket/full forward, and he was really good leading out and taking marks, also nathan saunders move up to chf because he's tried full forward a few times this year and hasent done anything, but when he is at CHF he has kicked all his goals and a couple of bags like 4's and 5's.
Michael McFarlane should be a walk up start, he's good enough to be rucking in the vcfl side, he should be in best geelongs side

It seems some people would like to believe Sam made the wrong decision when he came to Lara and that he has underperformed this year. The same people apparently have not watched a single Lara game this season. In a side that has obviously struggled, Sam and all our forwards have also struggled to kick goals. Sam has played on the ball regularly and has been in the best on most occasions. The club has NOT been unhappy with him. In fact, we look forward to Sam being part of the club next year and beyond.

haven't seen him play this season but from previous years he would have hoped to improve alot, would be alot better players around for a halfback flank in the bfl alone.
think youve done a good job elsewhere tho
maybe wallace on a half fflank instead of quinlivan

Fair effort though there's a couple of changes i'd make. Hildebrandt out for Adam Leslie from Modda, Milne out for Christian Robertson of Anglesea and not sure who the C Wells from the BFL is on the wing. Leigh Clifford from Corio should be picked ahead of Quinlivian and take your pick of McFarlane, Gilligan or Chambers ahead of Vail. Would also have Mitchell from Ammos ahead of either Rock or Hovey. Just shows though how the quality of the team drops when you add past here best or not good enough type players from the BFL and GDFL. Yeah you make a fair point, but as i said, tried to pick from all three leagues. But you do make a vaild point about the blokes that would be dropped out of the side. However as far as a combined team went, it was hard to overlook the guys picked on form. However, Vail is just returning and probably should be replaced by chambers or McFarlane. I dont think Gilligan can go with these tow guys anymore. Although he would towel up pretty much any other ruckman in the league.

The hardest ones to get a handle on are the Bellarine boys as they are pretty much are only seen by their own. Picking a side from the 3 leagues TMNT and having agreement on 75% on the content is a fair effort.

Mark Corrigan is by far the best player in GFL despite addy quote this morning. Luke forbes would be in best side. Daniel Lovick also. Warrick Knuckey. Jones from St marys is a gun too.
