How frickin good is it to be in the GF?!

Usually at this time I’m still stewing about missing out again. Here we are. First time in nearly a decade.

I love the attitude of the squad and team this year. There’s something steely this time in that I haven’t seen for a decade. Dangerfield looks like a man on a mission. Scott’s temperament seems much improved.

I’m confident. Let’s do this.

If we won one of the other prelims you would say the same thing. Its all hindsight.

ps. Taylor and rohan and guthrie didnt exactly look steely after the prelim win. We see what we want to see.

I assume you mean the other years we made and lost a prelim. That’s a weird and irrelevant thought experiment. Of course it’s hindsight; you have to win the prelim to get this chance. In those other years we failed to do that.

FFS can everybody stop with the rain.

It will be what it will be.
The rain is a bigger determining factor in our chances then any single player.

im not only talking about it. Im reading up on anti rain dances to do saturday morning. Ive found many but none yet that wouldnt be called cultural appropriation.

No it's not. Stop stressing about it and talking about it in every thread you've gone on.

If it does rain, does that slow the Tuggers up a bit?
I reckon we'll go alright in the wet. I remember the freo game this year, and we looked great in heavy conditions. Tomahawk is also a wet weather specialist... We will be fine and we will beat the tiges rain hail or shine!

Yes it really is. i know we really like to think luck doesnt determine flags or the best team is the best team in all circumstances but that simply isnt reality.
I would take rain at the Gabba with Duncan and Hawkins vs a dry deck at the MCG minus them (last year). How's that for luck?

Chucked a cheeky $500 on the Tigers. So either I'll be that deliriously happy and won't care about wasting half a grand, or I'll be wiping my tears away with 50's. Here's hoping for the former!
I chucked a cheeky tomato at a Tigers fan walking around in his gear. Not wasting my cash on that shitlord mob. They won me money belting the Cows in 17 but since then their fans are so horrendous I won't even bet on their club.

I was pretty damn thrilled to wake up on a particular Sat in 2009 to rain. It was the first thing I checked after jumping out of bed. Riewoldt was near unstoppable that year.

Cats love the Gabba.. we look so good playing on that ground. Tigers will have to play their best game all season to get past us.

Cats will play on at all cost.. to disrupt their defensive set up. We have played like this the last two weeks and that will be the difference between winning and losing for mine.

Rain nearly cost us that day. It was only when the sun came out in the last qtr and we started being able to run and carry that we won the game. Saints foward flood was far more effective in the rain. We just coukdnt get the ball out of there for large periods of the game given it was a slow wet weather slog.

My wife manages a Coles bakery out this way and forgot her bag of Cats decorations this morning. You bet I just spent $60 on an Uber to take it out to her. We are in red hot Tiger territory out here, gotta claim as much ground as we can.
Update on this. Money well spent. South eastern Melbourne.

40% possibility of 0-2mm according to BOM. The forecast for the Sunday is pretty dire so hopefully that stays away

2mm of rain is nothing... Especially in Brisbane, that will still be a dry ground with their weather.

The major rainfall on Friday and Saturday is in Melbourne, and it could be up to 40mm of rain in Melbs on those two days.

Don't we just loved a Gabba Grand Final this year?! ;)
