We had a tough draw , the two games in a row off short breaks while our opposition were coming off byes was just laughable.

But we were terrible and rightfully finished where we did. For most of the season we played bottom 4 standard and got what we deserved .

It hurts to say but the Cats handled the hub situation very well. Hawks start reasonable well then copped a few losses and injuries which must have shattered their confidence.

Shafted no question, but was it incompetence or strategic. I Just don’t rate the AFL’s collective intelligence highly enough for it to have been strategic.

You could also argue its too consistent to just be a fluke

Not too bothered about not grabbing him In his draft year. He spent a few years at box hill before being drafted, then played ok at Fremantle. He could’ve been had for free at that point. Leading forwards are a dying breed these days. It’s more about getting out the back and contested marking. So his agility shouldn’t have been too big of a sticking point.

We were well and truly shafted by the AFL with the fixturing of our games. That analysis shows our fixture was more than twice as bad as the next worse. That doesn’t happen by chance.
On top of that The accommodation we were given both in Sydney and Adelaide were not fit for purpose.
Combined with the terrible umpiring we got ....it’s no wonder that we had a difficult season.
Worst draw ....worst umpiring it does make a difference.

Rather pick 4 then us getting favourable draws and finishing 11th. Ideally we're not far off Fremantle/Carlton, Pick 4 (Which will be pick 5 when Adelaide scam pick 2 and GC) is a lot better then finishing 10th and ending up with pick 11 after GC's priority pick

I agree, but I trust we are making it known to the AFL that something more favourable is expected this year...

I would expect this request would be looked upon openly as well (Cue derisive laughter...)

I have no doubt the AFL wants a competitive Hawthorn, but I'm also pretty sure they would prefer we don't win any more premierships for the time being.

Why you get the clubs to do what you want when they are broke and financially dependant

No other supporter likes to see us winning all the time while they dont

One can Hope. Maybe moving our "marvel stadium" home games to MCG or putting them to tasmania to help us recoup lost revenue we had this year for the next couple of years. to help us financially.

That is the first team. Haven’t seen the second but if it has McEvoy and Burgoyne in it I’m not sure it is credible.

McEvoy played more back than ruck so counts as a back. But his ruck stats would impact his rating so he's CHB on that team, Gunston CHF and Burgoyne on the bench.

It's a flawed system but they name people on the part of the ground the played majority of time based on how they class the player.
Means the forward lines are made up of actual forwards and the wings with actual outside players.
