It is a good outcome for both parties. The clubs following the saints pick wouldn't be happy though. It really doesn't effect us as we are likely trading out our first. Shows the club should have let him go to the best and fairest, thanks for a top ten pick!

For some reason this post made me think: he's another high end defender to push Calsher Dear harder at training.
This off season is going to be a forward line force multiplier.

I'm a big believer in that 193cm / 90kg type defender in modern footy (the role that Gibbo was so good at).
It's the perfect size to be able to play on bigs and smalls whilst still being agile enough to provide rebound and offensive impact.

Just watched his highlights reel, bloke can do it all: intercept, clunk contested grabs, stick tackles, exhibit strong evasive skills, and best of all, drift forward and snag sausages.

It's the perfect size to be able to play on bigs and smalls whilst still being agile enough to provide rebound and offensive impact.
Battle was regarded as one of the best forwards in his draft year, after kicking the most goals of any division at the under-18s championships - 11 goals in four games for Vic Country. Battle also impressed at TAC Cup level, booting 24.13 across eight games.
Especially for next year until Lewis makes he's return from a full ACL recovery.
Frosty playing back assisted by the Tom Barrass inclusion taking the number one forward, and Battle playing forward in 2025.
