This is really the secret of Richmond's high membership numbers. Earlier in the season when they were playing like a bunch of girl guides, the members all microwaved their season cards. As soon as there is a sniff of them finishing 9th they have to renew. Two for the price of one. Two membership tickets that is of course.

They are still upset that their plan for Melbourne to take us over failed. I often wonder if it had worked, and we lost our identity, and with the Melbourne club so poorly run, would they still be in the position they're in today? Probably!
