Ok so this game almost definitively confirms that Sydney will take top spot. This opens up some very interesting strategic scenarios. The chances of Hawthorn playing Geelong first week of the finals now is extremely high. If we beat Freo tomorrow (especially if it's by a small margin) this scenario will be all but confirmed with 2 games to play. Will basically mean that the final 2 games are dead rubbers.

Saints are a long way from being a decent AFL team. They'll lose Lenny this year, possibly Riewoldt within two you'd think. They are going to need to see some rapid development or this could take some time to rebuild
