Yeah I think it’s a pretty small percentage of people that break this mould, but interestingly, a quick google shows that NBA players on average all have greater armspan than height, up to 1.06/1. Crazy.

Not so off. It is genetics. I am 190cm wing span about the same. Two sons 202/208 and 191/202 their mother also has long arms proportional to her height.

210 cms and 217 wingspan .
He reckons in the US they arr almost more concerned with wingspan then height.

Makes sense given your catch the ball with your hands rather than your head.
It is interesting that is not really mentioned in draft prospects - but given hand wringing about eg 193cm forwards being too short it’s pretty useful bit of info given a 193cm forward may have a bigger wingspan than a 198cm player.
