It'll last for years, the media will praise it, when the culprits are about to retire you watch the rules get changed. #ProtectedSpecies
Like Murali in cricket. The moment he retired, cricket authorities started worrying about questionable actions. :)

I tried explaining to some Cats fans the art of ruck work and how Meek was entitled to raise his knee for protection at centre bounces, but I couldn't convince them that their darling coach was using an illegal tactic. It will take a ruck man from one of their favourite clubs to get injured and then watch the media and AFL spring into action.

Horse looking a bit long in the face

I'm not one who looks for coaches to be sacked, but it is a favourite topic on this forum. I know Sydney played in last year's GF and they were horrible. After tonight's effort, you wonder what Sydney may be thinking about the coach in his 13th season.

Hawthorn’s effort against Geelong looks a lot better in retrospect.

Media suggesting we were “a big problem for the AFL”.

Hawthorn isn’t the common denominator.

Where have you been? Hawks have been doing this for the last 6 years.
I wish I had the stats but as I've mentioned many times before we have this uncanny knack of turning players into stars overnight (Ronke says hi) and breaking teams losing streaks. Geelong, Essendon in Adelaide a fews years back, Brisbane up here at the Gabba going a little further back to name a few.

Hell you can go further than 6 years as etched in my memory is a game vs Adelaide at Football Park in the 2000's which I also attended where the Crows had if I recall correctly a 0-5 start (or thereabouts) until we rocked up for a thumping.

Would love to watch the entire replay of that game with Luke Parker mic'd up.

I think you have to factor in Duncan’s return also. Very important player for them.

Sydney‘s second half similar to ours … at least we were in front at half time … and fought it out in the last term.

Sydney had about 11 players with less than 50 games experience while Geelong had 10 with over 150 games. Very similar ratio when we played them.

Sydney did beat us by 14 goals though.

The last two steps he braces and looks at his target.
He had a choice to avoid the collision IMO.

Head is sacrosanct...at least for the past couple of weeks anyhow.
4 weeks or there really is a conspiracy.
