BHH commentary has dropped a level this year. Think they’ve had some changes in personnel. That said, still great to be able to tune in on occasion.

I could understand clubs refusing to play against the scum back in 2012-14 or whenever it was, but a coach refusing to coach against his former club is ridiculous*.

As has been mentioned, no-one is bigger than the club, not Clarko, Kennett, Gowers, Parkin, Scott or Matthews.
Not to be involved is his loss, we supporters idolised him for his feats at our great club, if he has turned his back on the club, he has turned his back on the club's supporters also, again, this is his loss.
He should not forget he was a highly paid employee of the club, one who also got paid whilst not working for a year, I am sure in his time he came across and relied on a great many volunteers within HFC, maybe he should spare a thought for them when he bad mouths the club.

To be fair he has taken a break due to mental health issues that stem from the Hawthorn racism investigation and coverage. To return that week would merely invite a media tsunami about the very issue that has caused him to take a break, so it's kind of understandable to start back the following week where the coverage will be much quieter.

I loved him coaching HFC
