Not sure how I feel about this "Carlton, Premiership contenders" thing, but **** me did I laugh at Melbourne last night. Real big deep belly laughs too. Made me feel real good.
Preseason for them should just alternate fitness with goal kicking sessions. Struggling to think when a team as strong as them as been the author of their own misfortune so emphatically.

What are the odds of Barassi passing away the day after a Melbourne v Carlton final. RIP to the great man - 10 premierships as a coach/player - unbelievable feat. I hate that his remaining years were so hard because of an act of bravery going badly - brutally unfair. Condolences to the Barassi family.

Looking forward to the game tonight. Should be a great contest. Port missing some firepower up forward beings them back to gws. Giants probably have the second best forward line left in it right now. Port will be hard pressed to contain it if the giants get on top in the middle.
The giants have been playing the right kind of footy over the last couple of months. It's not flashy at all.

Toby Greene is an absolute champ and I love how he copped it high and didn't complain to the umpire or play for the free kick.
