Lions will win pretty easily imo . Carlton are a good match up for them too .

I agree re gws… Giants have hit a genuine purple patch… they were brilliant last week…

Is anyone else a bit torn from last night's results?.

On one hand we have Melbourne losing. Goodwin and Oliver have come across as whiny and entitled, so a part of me wanted to see them cry tears from their eyes.

Then on the other hand, Carlton winning... I think there's an innate characteristic within me that doesn't want to see any of the 'big 4' clubs win.

Yeah spot on. I’ve got him in the Luke Beveridge category. With the list he has they should be winning those games

Arguably dees have the top line talent to have won last years and this year flag. Poor coaching a lot of blame. And some wierd list management - ie going after Grundy.

Not a prolific ball winner but he has played all season and imo is pretty important to the make up of their side

At least we had peaked and won 3 flags. Our results the following couple of years were typical of an aging list on decline. No regrets.

Dees on the other hand should be absolutely at their peak right now. 1 flag from this playing group in an otherwise fairly diluted talent pool league-wide is really disappointing for them.

Agree completely, we had a GOAT level team and they will be considered underachievers.

Still kind of ironic though.

I think Carlton probably just played their grand final and will likely get beaten by Brisbane up there pretty handily. It could be the best of both worlds.

They just rode their luck two weeks in a row. Got absolutely smacked in general play in the second half last week but swans kept missing. Even more extreme this week. Lions just need to kick no worse than 50% and they will win.

Extremely lucky. Collingwood were lucky againt Melbourne too. As they say, bad kicking is bad football.

I think Brisbane will beat them comfortably.
