Out of all the interstate teams making grand finals, only Adelaide have a genuine case of unfairness.

Sydney? Should worry about turning up for finals/grand finals rather than where they are located

Cant believ all the media love for ‘bloods culture’ when they are the new colliwobbles

Also brisbane and Sydney have Victorian supporter bases

It really shat me Carlton came back to win this. But you know what, 2024 I'm not going to letting the results of non-Hawthorn games bother me. (though will be tough for Essendon games...)

A good enough coach? Hard players?

Hipwood just ain't the man for the job.
Legit question, is there a softer player currently in the AFL than Hipwood?

He's got talent but geez when you compare him to Rough and Buddy who used to love to mix it up he looks super soft.

That's one thing I think gets lost a bit about our 3 peat team. Yes we had a team of incredibly skilled players (especially by foot) but across the board our playing list was as hard at it as anyone (Guerra, Hale, Birchall, Mitchell, Hodge etc).

Interstate clubs have flagged a radical best-of-three grand final series to reduce Victorian clubs’ MCG home ground advantage.
The NBA-style shake up is among a raft of changes that interstate clubs have floated to level the AFL’s playing field.
Would ruin the magic of the grand final to be honest.

A one off means both teams are in with a shot and it comes down to whose better on the day.

2 out of 3 means the better team wins more often but loses a lot of the excitement that goes into it.

A week off before the grand final is also a stupid idea was trialled in 2021 and sucked.

Melbourne's issue last year is they tried too hard to keep gawn in the ruck at the expense of Grundy.
Grundy as ruck and gawn as a forward would've been scary!
Didn’t Gawn pull rank after a few games and say he had to play ruck to? Their was a scene in the rooms after a win (can’t remember if it was a final) were Grundy went to high five or hug a few players after the song and everyone walked past him. I reckon he was always on the outer with the dees, not just on the field but off.

Dees should have gone for Gunston instead of Grundy. So obvious
The Jack Gunston who wanted to leave Victoria and play under Chris Fagan like his premiership team mates Luke Hodge and Grant Birchall did?

Didn’t realise he probably wanted to move to Gosch’s Paddock and play under Simon Goodwin.
