It doesn't matter how often they get given, I just don't think those mega long term contracts are good for player or club. You've locked in your value for 10 years where's your incentive to get better? Naughton is a good player but he has plenty of room for improvement and his showings since signing that contract at the end of last year have been middling at best.

You roll that job security out to a guy with runs on the board, not a guy who still needs to get there.

It's really not poo after that though. Naughton should be better, Daniel was dropped for some reason, Dale was the sub and he can turn a game around, they've got Macrae out of the side. Darcy is developing and should be showing a lot more, Ed Richards is a decent player, Weightman is decent. They've got the players but Bevo can't get anything out of em.

I agree that the depth is the issue at the Dogs but that is a stretch

Even after the elite players you still have guys who are anywhere from above average to good

Treloar, Macrae, Dale, Daniel, JJ

As well as really promising young talent like Darcy and Sanders

It may not be the best list in the comp but it is pretty good and has underperformed massively since 2016. Coaching is a much bigger issue than the list and has been for a long time.

The scary thing is the doctors cleared him of concussion.
If I were him I'd be straight to a neurologist today and I'd be getting the full battery of tests.

They can’t get a game, despite being very good footballers. Which brings me back to coaching.

He has not gotten the best out of so many on that list for a long time.

I think he’s the sort of player who looks great in a well performing team and pretty ordinary in a poor team. Not great defensively so when the midfield is not offering much defensive pressure and the ball is pouring into the backline, he battles.

I dont think so or they havent mentioned it . Saints kicking early has been shocking .....lucky to only be a few goals down .
