Horrible incident with Sam Taylor. Off to Hospital.

Gee GWS are going to be hard to beat this year if they can keep their players on the park.

Some fantastic football.

They've found another one as well - young Harvey Thomas seems to have a bit about him.

The Libba stuff looks real scary

Hate that his comment post-game was he had a sore ankle and stumbled.

Take the concussion stuff seriously. I hope there is an investigation here.
Can't beleive he stayed on the field and Docs did nothing
The faces he was making after it were real strange

Will probably miss a week or two "with an ankle".
Such a bizarre explanation by Bevo.
Thankfully has now entered concussion protocols.

Why were the Docs so slow to get to him on the ground after he collapsed? He was invovled in a few plays after that

Honestly - being in the medical industry - Zimmerman is not well regarded at all.

I couldn't believe it when Zimmerman didn't take Libba off.

The first response to players with head injuries, esp those showing immediate effects needs a solid review, and removing from club doctors.

First response is set in stone to all suspected head injury victims:

Lay them down
Immobilize the neck
Neurological observations ( a worldwide set of questions / responses have been used for decades)
If unconsciousness has occurred - oxygen mask, stretcher and immediate removal to a place for assessment.

If any obvious symptom suggests an altered mental state - all the above apply.

Zimmerman left him on.

Other club Doctors allow a clearly concussed player to stagger off under his own steam - risking further injury if they fall.

The immediate first response to AFL players by club staff is dreadful. Really really bad.

And every time it happens you hear the same flogs like BT and Darcy roll out the tired trope about 'The Best In The Business'

They aren't - the immediate response is dreadful - Liberatore was owed a duty of care by Western Bulldogs and they failed.

Heads need to roll for this shambles - inc Beveridge for trying to cover it up as 'a trip'

Has everyone forgotten the state Shane Tuck ended up in - Libba will be the same sadly.

The AFL needs to step in and legislate a standard AFL club wide response to ANY suspected head injury (in collaboration with neurologists) and demand that clubs follow it. A gold standard.

The vision of Liberatore wandering off the field was a shameful indictment on poor standards of care - just when the AFL is cracking down on the actions that cause some of them.

Zimmerman gets the boot on Monday. Anything else is a travesty.

They might as well get rid of htb.
Touhey takes possession, tackled, raises the ball above his head, can’t dispose of it, drops it but no htb

There’s no reward for the tackle anymore
