I went, had Geelong fans actually pitying us. Ive never been to a game and received pity. It was nice.
this is one of those 'I remember where I was when it happened' sort of events, what a nightmare. To this day have never watched the game or even the 'highlights'.

I remember watching the lot in the common room of my uni residence. Was laughing all the way through the second half, grimly hoping for a 200pt loss tbh.

How quickly these hopes were dashed. Wonna's 22 pt loss prediction similarly overoptimisticI don't know why but i've got a really good feeling about today. Not saying we'll win but i think we can make a game of it down there at the Cattery and pop the Bailey saga in the back seat.....hopefully.

I just watched it on tv kind of frozen. Wasn’t even angry, just shocked. I truly thought our club had had it, folding was inevitable.
People did sort of creep around me awkwardly for days after though. I guess that was pity. It was just weird though

Stayed to the end with my jumper on. Don't anybody ever question my love of this club.
In a former life I was a footy journo and remember having to interview Jared Rivers the next day. He was a shell of a man and he was just about in tears the whole interview.
I agree if felt like the club was so close to folding at that point in time.

What were we like 100 down at half time?
I remember thinking we will probably fight back in the second half and lose by 80 points. I think they kicked 4 or 5 quick ones and I had to turn it off
From memory before that game we were only a game and % out of the 8 with finals a possibility

Weid has been doing the Jackson role in the VFL . I think the only way he gets a game is if there are some injuries or massive loss of form .

You play him in defense at VFL level and see how he goes, you don't wait til you bring him up to AFL level.
