I've been thinking quite a few of those honest trier types like him, MJones or Stretch would be good on a wing how we play now - actually using width and those outside types who run all day.

Stretch was crap in any era.

Cale Morton was always the one that got away imo, he looked like he could have been anything early

Not the end of the world, but Freo are now ranked better than us in everything we pride ourselves on

Goals against, Scores against, Inside 50s against

We are slightly ahead on clearance differential, average a goal a game more than them.

So pretty clear second best team in the comp is Freo. I rate them way above Brisbane.

I love how they use The Western‘s full time score, and scale us back to when we were 9.11.65 before the last minute of the third quarter, because that’s what makes the graphic easiest.

The coaches must have had some issue with Stretch that they didn’t think he could work through - I thought he came on really well in his first couple of seasons. Seemed like a hard worker and was pretty hard for an outside player of his size, but he either regressed or wasn’t looking like developing further. Hasn’t exactly torn it up in the second tier so probably the latter.
