Just realised we've had a few losses recently despite not being called Narrm anymore. I thought Narrm was the reason? Bloody wokeism destroying the club and all that.

All the losses have followed since being called Narmm, player subconsciously disgusted and broken since then so fair enough. Go woke go down the ladder.

Relatively meaningless discussion, but we are 20-1-22 in games decided by 12pt or less under Goody. This stat would look a lot better if we didn’t go 0-5 those games in 2018.

If we had any other coach instead of Simon Goodwin do you think we could be 43-0?

Some players who's form has been nowhere this year but slowly starting to come good: Kozzie, Gawn, ANB, Brayshaw, Langdon (very slowly), if they are all up and running comes finals- plus Clarry and Fritsch come back in decent knick, we'll look a shitload better than we have for most of the year. My rainbow moment for the week.

Dose me up, booshboy

Is anybody else thinking Rivers might win the b&f with all these games Clarry has missed?
Not that I keep count game by game but I was thinking before Clarry got injured (aka secretly banned) Riv deserved to be second and he's played a few very good games since then as well.

reckon he's in for a trophy but I think Trac & Viney will be ahead of him.

Probably right about Trac but doesn't deserve to be IMO.
Viney been good recently but B&F usually rewards consistency and not always stacked towards the mids as much as other awards.

Has only featured in the coaches votes once, Trac is second across the whole league.

Wouldn't think Rivers would be in the top 5 tbh.

As I said, Trac probably will get the chocolates but doesn't deserve to based on season so far.

But Bluey Truscott voting is very different voting system geared more to rewarding consistency and playing your role. I'd be staggered if Rivers isn't top 5. 2nd or 3rd would be a fair result but I think Trac has been disappointing in many games so wouldn't like to see him rewarded with a B&F unless he dominates the next 8 weeks.

Reckon you're possibly judging Trac against your expectations of Trac, rather than his contribution to the team. He would absolutely deserve the Bluey this year IMO and that's reflected in the fact the AFL coaches have him as the second most important player in the whole league currently.

Rivers has been good, but I would argue that consistency is the thing he hasn't quite mastered yet. I'd expect Trac, Viney, Clarry, May, Kozzy, Gawn, maybe even Gus to all be ahead of him in the votes at the end of the year.

Yeah I don't deny at all that's how I'm judging Trac. But given the voting system is coaches rating each player out of ten that's how you'd expect them to be judging as well. If I was a coach I wouldn't be handing Trac 9s and 10s for having 25-30 touches and turning it over a heap, and I'd be inclined to give someone like Rivers who is having a career best year more generous ratings.

Who knows how it will pan out, I just feel that Riv has been clearly top 2/3 for us this year.

Finished second in the Bluey in 2021 behind Oliver while averaging more turnovers than he is this year. Don't reckon it's a huge factor IMO.

Love Riv but very much doubt he'd be top two. Trac/Viney would be monties but to be fair it is a pretty open field after that.

You'd normally bank on a tight battle at the top with those two plus May/Lever/Gawn/Clarry but Riv might be a chance to sneak third with his consistency and impact.
