To generalise a lot here; Aus had the highest home ownership rates in the 70's, houses were 3 x income, no concept of climate change and space exploration had become routine. Some spectre of nuclear fallout, but I'm not sure how much Aussies worried about that.

Now Boomers are increasing their share of home ownership, home ownership for people in their 20s is as low as interwar period and rent paid is up 700% since 1990, the planet's climate and biodiversity is ****ed and we have put our social lives on hold for 2 years largely for the benefit of boomers. Tax brackets are flattening which will benefit older people on higher incomes with more accumulated capital.

The only thing boomers can complain about is not being able to be as openly bigoted before. Hardly as stoic as they like to believe they are.

They had to work their asses off because they had nothing. Now lets criticize them for accumulating wealth.

Now you have the new generation (Gen Z) who are a bunch of self entitled twats that think they know how the world works. In their opinion everyone is a winner, always want feedback as long as its not negative, once there is a sign of a struggle they go on mental illness leave, have an idea that there is 275 different gender and can pick and choose which one fits their daily needs.

They spend more time whining about the inequities of the world and how hard done by they are by their parents generation. Yet are happy to live in their place until their 30's rather than working their ass off to achieve something with their lives. But don't worry when they inherit their parents wealth at a later date they will feel like they earned it!

In todays world Gen Z will respect you as long as you aren't white, wealthy, male, straight, over 50 or have any success really

The climate issue is always a laugh. Don't get me wrong I believe it is real but the same young twerps who go and protest against it and the ones contributing to it!

Fair point about refugees and people who lost family. They had to work hard and we had a political system that allowed that to happen. I would like the gov to have better public education, free uni, build housing to keep prices down.

It would be good if those systems that benefited boomers when they were young weren't dismantled while we are young. Wealth accumulation now is what I have a problem with. Your right that Intergenerational wealth inequality doesn't matter if you inherit parents weath, but for people that don't have that, which is growing significantly with the reduction of home ownership, inequality increases. That is with income tax flattening and capital gains being lower than income tax.

But yeah its rich white dudes in the 50's hard done by cos they don't get respect. Kids these days have a gender for each day, that's what we should get angry at, not financial security or the well-being of other living things on the planet. Proving my point about having not much to complain about so get angry about someone's gender identity which has zero bearing on your life.

Anyway, I'm talking about macroeconomic/ biospheric reasons for younger generations to be dissatisfied. Obviously each person from every generation lives in different circumstances.
