Do smothered kicks count as DT points?
From last year's thread:
1. If a player has his kick smothered, is it counted as a kick?
snip
Cheers
1. Depends on how the smother occurred, if it was effective, how far the kick went, who kicked it. E.g. are you saying they kicked it and it went no where effective? Or was it just touched off the boot? Or was it one of those in-between smothers where the ball still dribbles 30m along the ground in the right direction. The effective smothers are not counted. The touched off the boot do count. The ones in between seem to be a case by case decision.

Heres a random Question :)

I want to watch as many of my players as possible but not watch 9 games of footy a weekend. Prob watch about 4.

Therefore I want to limit my players to only coming from 8 teams. (6 if poss)

Which 8 teams give me the most quality selections? (don't worry so much about rookies but say 8 teams giving 5 premium backs, forwards, 2 rucks and 7 mids) eventually through trading.

I have Geelong, Collingwood, West Coast, Richmond as 4. Ideas on best other teams.

Port Adelaide have a lot of young up and coming players (including may great rookies) that could turn into value picks, so worth a shot. On the same note GC and GWS also have plenty of young talent that could break out this season. So there's 3 more.

a question that has been bothering me and i not seen discussed. Obviously, for alot of people ablet and swan are locks. Shit, i want them in my team. However % wise, surely with the huge b/e they face to sustain there high price, they will drop 15-20k by round four to a more realsitic base price.

with all our trades, are others thinking of holding off till round three/four to pick them up. Sure, you might miss out on the immediate points they will give you in those three weeks. but the money if you invest in two mid range players should cover that.

I dunno, it just seems to make sense, unless of course ablet and swan happen to hit that mystical 140 b/e or whatever it is for the first three weeks to maintain there price

Swan scored over 110
15 times out of 20 games last year
and never went below 90
Ablett scored over 110
12 times out of 19 games
and went below 90 2

I have a feeling they'll bang out at least one score above their B/E in the first 3 rounds (130 odd for Swan 125 odd for Ablett) and their prices wont go down too much.
