Dunno about SC but in DT you lose 3pts for giving away a free kick. Also sometimes scores are revised after a game has finished when official game details are released

Am aware of the scoring system for giving away free kicks.

Easton Wood did a Hammy and was subbed off in the first quarter. Yet he managed to get -4 in the fourth quarter.....

It's due to the scaling system that SC used. Things like momentum points are awarded along with more points been given in a quarter if the game is close. There is also a set limit of points that can be given in a game which is probably why he lost some. Seem to recall Pendlebury being subbed off at 3/4 time before with the 4th quarter being a blow out, since what he did earlier then meant more (since the 4th didn't really count for anything) he was awarded another 20 odd points.

*Not that I agree with the SC scoring system*

I think it was last year when Pendles got injured and was subbed off @ 1/2 time on 59 SC. He somehow ended up on 110 SC though. Stupid scoring system that he could manage another 51 SC from the dressing rooms.

anyone else having trouble with the DT website loading at the moment?

And with SC also.

Just popped on here to make sure and check it wasn't just me....

Surely they can't be having server load problems???

Yeah it's amazing at how many things the AFL site do wrong, they haven't had the teams right at all this year (can be quite challenging to even find their teams article at times).

This is probably what you're looking for (something simple in which we'd all like to see from the AFL website but it seems beyond them: http://www.fantasyfootyclub.com/showthread.php?13981-Teams-round-4

Well they have listed Aaron Hall in the umpiring squad for our game, we should have the win in the bag now.

Certainly is... Only risk you run doing the loop hole is if one of you forwards pull out with injury. You have no emergency. Not a drastic issue, but it is the risk you take with doing it.

How does scoring during the bye work? It says in the rules during the multi-bye Rounds 11, 12 and 13, you'll score from your best 18 players only in any position. Am I missing something here as everyone seems to be worrying about it?

It means that with clever trading and decent depth you don't have to cop a zero and your score could remain respectable, and you could come away with league/eliminator wins (I think the eliminator is still on those weeks?) For example, round 13 is going to be bad. Swan, Ablett, Murphy, Pendlebury, Watson, Stanton, Heppell, Goddard, Dangerfield and Jaeger all have the bye. So people are starting to plan ahead to avoid being left short.
