That’s what I’m saying about conferences, it seems ridiculous.
Something AFL actually has right, all teams have a chance to play any other in a grand final.

Certainly true about the AFL

Conferences in basketball and baseball were designed to limit travel and keep teams in same or close to same time zones back in the day

Might come a day when it changes

But for now I don’t see that happening

Surely there’s a way that when finals occur they cross the teams over though?
I can understand why they need to do it for the regular season.
I can’t imagine playing against port but never having the possibility to play them in a final or grand final.
Does anyone complain about it over there or it’s just the way it is and no one knows that there’s any different way of doing it?
