Women's field could be about to get even weaker: Sharapova has called a press conference for a "major announcement" for around 4am tonight. This comes just days after withdrawing from Indian Wells with a persistent arm injury. Has sparked retirement/hiatus rumours.

Not many players have a career grand slam. if she does retire, it is a big hole in the womens game. agree with above, never been the same since shoulder surgery, but the fact she came back is a testament to her.

Ahead of Novak...jeez that is optimistic. That said he'd be my 2nd pick after Novak so it isn't out of this world to make the final.

Novak has the best chance to win the calendar Slam probably since Federer did at his absolute peak.

I have never been a Raonic fan but he has improved out of sight this year. Eventually he'll win a few Slams.
