Geez blokes! it took a few days of confusion to sort that one out:eek: Lets get out to these praky matches & get some reports in.
I think we'd all like to know how things are shaping up. Unfortunately It looks like how far Burnie & Launy already this year:(

Most likely heading off on Thursday to see NHFC v GFC at North Hobart oval.

Will try and post some information within the next 24-48 hours after game.:confused:

You would hope at this stage those 2 teams are in a bit better knick at this time of the yr with foxtel cup coming, they have already played 2 or 3 more praccy matchies than every other team. You will know how it is shaping up come round 6

Scores from tonights colts and senior games (North won the 18s easy)

Colts 2x 15 minute halves
North hobart 7.4 46. Glenorchy 1.6.12

Seniors 2x 20 minute halves
North Hobart 3.3 21 Glenorchy 1.4 10
 
I think Lauderdale will be the team to beat in the south this year. They have recruited well and have a great coach in winter. Also North Hobart will be strong as they have recruited some of Hobart's best youngsters.
 
Agree with Lauderdale- good home ground advantage too!Heard state u16 and 2011 senior player cody weedon has left south cause of the coach, gone to north-another one! They cant surely keep losing players continually and expect to improve, reckon afl tas would be starting to worry about whether its a good investment proping them up. From 2011 ones ive heard have left are viney,mckenzie,riley,lee,weedon,chapman+. Where will any improvement come from? They have recruited mccullagh who has only played a handfull of games in 2 years and oshea from north who is getting over a knee.

yes good point about waiting til rnd 6- however, Burnie have played only a couple of praccy games (2 or 3) and, from what a friend told me, Launnie has only played 1...

Those two different approaches will be interesting to see how it pans out as the foxtel cup (depending on how far you get), along with State game (a few from both teams will get a guernsey); could make for a long season.
 
North Hobart is playing Hieldleberg tomorrow at North Hobart.Colts approx 1.00pm & seniors approx 3.00pm.Free entry.Hieldleberg is a strong Melb metro team so it should be worth having a look at.Their match payments last year were about 3 times higher than any TSL club.
 
Heidelberg advance party arriving in sunny Hobart later today. Looking forward to a good hit out against the Demons at the picturesque Nth Hobart oval then partaking in some good old fashioned Tassie hospitality post match.

Squad is a good mix of old and new and looking to improve on the last visit when given a touch up by Clarence.
 
Yep - had a few missing but no excuses. Always a few out at this time of year due to cricket finals, weddings, parties, anything.

Some new boys very keen to impress the coach so players will be doing the right thing. Might have to keep a closer eye on the officials though - can be scalliwags when wearing the white shorts.
