just heard on triple m that Gibbs broke his thumb in saturdays night game and will need surgery. Could be out for a few weeks.

I heard of this today from a mate but not sure how reliable his source is. He suggested Gibbs could be out for as long as 3 months. That seems excessive for a thumb injury so I too will wait and see what the club says.

I saw him grabbing his thumb on TV. Didn't think it was broken though.

Will believe it when the club announces it.

I saw that. At the time there didn't seem to be any swelling, but he was clearly concerned about something.
