anyone heard where the Great Ian Wrigglesworth is playing this year with Wurruk not playing SMCA 1st, apparently he's ruled out Maffra, College & Bundy cricket clubs (not sure they'd want him anyway), rumours he could be TDCA bound. Tipping he'll be chasing some cash!!
i have heard from a source that ian wrigglesworth will b playing at sale bcoz he doesnt want to play b grade

Will Bundy with their 4 or 5 recruits be good enough to knock off College this year? Or will last years minor premiers, Stratford, with the return of the competition's most promising all round, Jack Tatt, be too good for both of them? Maffra seem relatively unchanged from last season, can they improve internally enough to maintain their position as runners up?

Surely the other 4 sides are purley making up numbers.

Hard to see the top for changing. What's Rosedales situation , lost anyone gained anyone? If they have a similar line up to last year, they could make the 4... Probably the most talented and exciting bunch of younger players in the
comp. Had great variety in their bowling attack but do they have enough batting to sneak into the 4?

I'd say the bottom 4 will be relatively even, with Rosedale and Sale the 2 clubs that may push for the 4th spot, in Sales case with the experience coming into that line up should get them ahead of Sale City and Briag but overall the bottom 4 will even amongst themselves and the top 4 pretty even 2.

Are the College guns going to miss games due to work?

Pretty hard to split those top 4 teams

Rosedale had 3 batsman score over 200 runs last year, and 3 bowlers take more than 15 wickets, and Davo has left. Unfortunately, they aren't playing in the finals for a long time unless they recruit a few players.

Luke Henderson's name is still being thrown around a few clubs, has he actually signed with anyone??
Sale city the lastest club he's linked too!!

As far as I am aware, he is the captain at Ex Students, is this not the case?

Apparently he's still looking, I've heard he's skip at Ex Students but my mail is something could change!! watch this space!!
From what i can see and have read, Henderson is the Skipper at Ex-Students. Not sure of their chances though, it's been a while since they've been a force and not sure on the quality there. Bowling/fielding they'll be right up there, and possibly with batting too. They need a couple of their players to get well over 350 runs, with others backing up for at least 250.

Watched the entire game last week - Students were fairly disappointing. With all the talk surrounding them, i thought they'd smash us, as we are middle of the road, but they were outplayed from start to finish. They are going to struggle with the bat, as only Dylan Spence is capable of making anywhere near 350 runs. Having said all that, if Vossy and Stocky play any amount of cricket, then they'll play finals, as they are both guns.

The skipper bowled well and took 4 wickets. Any good off-spinner in the TDCA will take 25-30 wickets, as blokes don't use their feet. Wasn't a massive fan of the way he celebrated his first 2 wickets though.

Pumpter, can you elaborate on the celebration techniques of the mighty Hendo...?

And what of the Hurricain Devils? Middle of the road at best or a slight finals chance?

What would you rather he did? Took a wicket, turned, took his cap and walked down to fine leg??? Nothing wrong with a bit of carry on when you snag a wicket!

What is the story behind you watching, and not playing??? Disappointing.

A big day in the TDCA this weekend, with possibly the biggest recruit in the history of the league, Adrian Burgiel, making his debut for Gormondale. I'd imagine the gate record for the TDCA will be broken this weekend, and if my history of seeing him play is anything to go by, it will be money well spent for the paying fans!

Churchill better bring a couple of boxes of spare balls, a few of them might end up in Morwell.

bet he doesn't make more then 10, he's known it snick them early!!

But, if he doesn't snick one early, that box of spare balls might be handy. And the blokes on the boundary might wanna wear helmets, he hits it that hard!

Paying fans? Is 'buying' a player worth it, considering there is little, if any, prizemoney in the competition? He might only be there to help only get a first innings loss in a GF instead of outrighted again......
