Boolarra, Mirboo North and Thorpdale.Which clubs will be in the south Gippsland league?
Where does that leave the rest of them?Boolarra, Mirboo North and Thorpdale.
My bad. I assumed you were aware of applications to join other leagues.Where does that leave the rest of them?
So 97percent of newborough members voted to go to nth gippy. What’s their chances of being accepted?
They can each appeal decision to vic footy body & if win north gippy would have to accept them. If no appeal can apply every year to nth gippy but if appeal & lose no more applications for 2yearsMy North Gippy plant has advised me that the applications for Yinnar, Newborough and Morwell East to join the NGFNL were rejected. The required 75% approval, by the existing clubs, not being achieved.

Yallourn North and Newbourgh back in the same league is nice. Was always good scraps against the doggies, granted that was 15 years agoYou’d hope high. Can’t see how it doesn’t benefit the ngfnl with them joining. They’ll be made to change their jumper like YYN did and will be competitive in all grades.

Cheers mate, seems ridiculous. Seems inevitable the valley mid gippy clubs make the move.RDFL blokey It didn't get up. The NGFNL clubs knocked the three clubs back and unless major reforms initiated by AFL Victoria takes place then I can't see anything change on this front.
At least if they did that the grand finals wouldn’t be on the same day like they were this year. That must cost both leagues thousands of $.I personally believe the West Gippsland and Ellinbank leagues in the future should seriously look at what a merger looks like and go into a tiered competition.
2 grand finals 20 mins from one another the cross over from both leagues is huge.At least if they did that the grand finals wouldn’t be on the same day like they were this year. That must cost both leagues thousands of $.
Yes Bunyip admitted into EDFL. No one solution will fit everybody but as mid gippy seem to be the problem with many wanting out i rekon hill end to edfl too. Newborough, mor east & yinnar to nth gippy. Yarram & woodside back over the hill with mirboo ,boolarra & thorpy & remnants of alberton then let natural attrition happen. At least geographicaly it would be a better fitBunyip likely to move into EDFL, which I think is best for them. Largely uncompetitive in the WGFNL and have lost their best and fairest winner to Moe.
Mid Gippsland seems to be the most fragile competition in Gippsland, Hill End to have an under 18s in 2025 bringing that Thirds competition back to a massive 6 teams. No doubt Yinnar, Morwell East & Newborough will be looking to move leagues again.
I have heard that the Mid Gippy board are hard to deal with, adding to the frustrations of those clubs wanting out

I was told they were happy with 10 then took traf. Told they were happy with 11 now they have bunyip. Never say neverHill End junior club joining Warragul juniors next year - they might be looking to follow with the senior club the following year although with Bunyip joining EDFL now have 12 clubs and unlikely to want a 13th.
Yarram and Woodside not going back over the hill especially Woodside after just winning 1st premiership in North GippyYes Bunyip admitted into EDFL. Yarram ain't ever going back to join the old Alberton clubs unless they swallow their ego and pride. They burnt every bridge leaving in the first place.Yarram & woodside back over the hill with mirboo ,boolarra & thorpy & remnants of alberton then let natural attrition happen.
