Brent Cowell is one.

The other player would be Tarkyn Lockyer, I reckon I am spot on with both those two names.

Tarkyn Lockyer is coaching Collingwoods VFL team and has a development role with the senior team. Was reported last week.

Don't know if Cowell has signed yet, but Sale would rate there chances high if he has turned down Bairnsdale job.

Will be a massive in for the club along with the other signed recruits that have been mentioned and the resigning of most of there senior playing group.

Sale could becaome a force with an injury interrupted year if all goes to plan.

yeah totally agree

Can help fill in some blanks here:
Wonthaggi - Leigh McDonald - (so whisper is wrong)
Warragul - Mark Bradley - (as mentioned)
Leongatha - Adrian Campbell
Moe - (change the Leigh McDonald whisper to Corey Jones. Will be able to shed light in the coming days)

What about Maffra who is coaching them? still Robbins?

Well, it looks like Sale are having a good off season, recruiting wise. Ran into Matt Ferguson at the races yesterday, and he will be launching for hangers at the Sale Oval this season. The other football story doing the rounds is that Brent Cowell has also signed for Sale, and this year may also see the return of one of Sale's favourite sons!

very good news for Sale if true:thumbsu:

how long till any form of story appears in the Gippy Times? 4 months?

Was going to write this but didn't want to steal your thunder Bourky :D
Anymore info on them?

Will probably find out more when I get home from work tonight but they're definitely in so that's the big news I guess.

Just need to land a coach. I get the feeling Shaun Mooney would be pretty shattered that he's left B'dale to coach at major league level up here and now Bairnsdale has got promoted!

Any chance of seeing some off-spin this summer? :D:thumbsu:

haha not likely!

besides, I'm a demon swing machine these days anyway. ;)

The 0/40 off 4 overs on my birthday last season signalled the end of the finger spinning days :p

I think I'll leave the monster wicket hauls to Robbo ;)

too much coin for that to happen.

but they need to land a big fish soon to start attracting players.

also, your mail on Cowell was spot on.

signed with Sale.

Yeah, I'm not too sure that money is enough. Bairnsdale is a long way out of the way, not really much to feed it. I can't see too many players from Sale or further driving down the road to play there. Reality is, even if they got Mark "Bomber" Thompson, I can't see where all their players are going to come from, no matter what they get paid.

He was going either way, and if he was to ever play in the Gippsland again it would be for Maffra, he grew up a Maffra boy and he still loves that club and he has said he would not feel right playing for a team like sale etc against his old club

Morwell are now without a coach apparently - Adrian Cox has switched to heyfield in the NGFL. Can anyone else confirm this???
Have Moe got a coach?? If not it's starting to get a bit late.
