Yes it's strange i'm picking it up from the club, but i'm paying a premium of 10%(or $56) but GST work's out to be equal to 1% or $5.60!!!

I think (but I'm not sure because this site sucks pus) that the GST is payable on the buyer's premium.

They should be paying me after putting up with crap.

I'd love to buy Archers jumper but after getting the wife to agree last year to organising our wedding/honeymoon around football (the crows and the Pies games which we lost), getting her to agree to allowing me to name our future son Archer, and just getting her agreeing days ago to buying a holiday house/potential move to France; i couldn't really ask her to agree to me throwing across $8000+ for Archers jumper!!
Son called Archer is excellent.

French villa? mate, had I known about that i would have insisted YOU buy me the beers at the intra club match! :D

Wellsy $675 by the way.
Moran 370
Edwards 295
Urquart 290
Whyman 290

By the way, I think a bidder who held it at 5000 may have not informed his wife. I'd like to think that when informing her, handing her the divroce papers would be a nice touch as well.

I'm more than willing to drink with any fellow Roo's; i've be known to be thirsty some times!! Will be there on sunday at the Captains bar with my Stevo 250 cap on if anyone wants to catch up.

Pick of the upcoming jumpers for a bargain hunter is Riggio or Hughes.

But match worn it'd be Harvey.

A Brownlow Medallist's worn guernsey, bargain.

Can't believe Timmmmaaayyy's jumper went for more than Hansen's. Must be some rabid Brett Allison fans still out there.

Now when trying to finalise my purchase, the only option is gives me is "No Postage". Is that inferring that they aren't going to charge me for postage, or that its only pickup. Find it hard to believe they won't charge for postage, in fact I'd be suprised if they didn't charge GST on the postage.

It's as if people have forgotten about Hansen, Arden, it was worth more than that. I reckon Timmay's a chance of being swapped onto the list for Hansen based on that.

Ah nice work. If you want someone to check in on it I'll be in France in September...

Swallow 450 (that's a bargain)
Sinclair 470
Riggio 380 (and still going)

Proud owner :)

Wouldn't know it though. Still waiting on the email notification and the page itself provides no hints.
Well done mate, I'd have liked a crack at that.

I got Trotter's, decent price considering actually. Wanted Rossy's tho.

I reckon Harvey's and Swallow's went for a good price.

Is $8000 for a guernsey a fair price, does anyone remeber what the Tony Lockett jumpers went for?, I think there was 1300 of them, to signify how many goals he kicked, he stuffed that up by making a comeback though.

After reading about the fine efforts you guys (and gals) put in, I'm ashamed I stopped bidding for Drews jumper. To anyone that bought a jumper, I'll shout drinks on sunday at the captains bar.:thumbsu:

Shagger 500.

Lower pushing 400, ToD's wifey will be annoyed.

McConnell 275 (Well done Zebs)

Kasey's passed in at 335 (big reserve)

Adams around 270

Yeah, but I keep getting outbid by 13-year old girls. :(

I reckon the club could have made hundreds more all up had they done this on eBay. Pretty pathetic site. Still, I'd say the club will be happy with that, a very good money spinner again.

The official cut-off time is "flexible" to stop people with superior software or internet connections from gaining an unfair advantage, and to ensure the seller gets the best price possible.

If (for instance) I bid $300 for Harvey's jumper and at 5 seconds before the finishing time someone came in with $310, not only would I have missed out on a jumper that I'd be prepared to pay a lot more for, but the club would miss out on the resultant extra revenue.

As for the GST bit, when you're placing a bid it says pretty clearly that there's a 10% Buyer's Premium and that there is a GST element on this. It even tells you the full amount you'll have to pay if successful.

Of course, I placed my bids during the week, and I understand that the site may have shat itself under the traffic of the final hour (by which time I'd conceded defeat). If so, that's pretty piss-poor, but I think criticism of the finishing times and buyers premium is a bit harsh.

Also, congrats to all who picked up a jumper. A couple of bargains there, and some welcome revenue for the club. Hopefully next time they have one of these I'll have a bit more coin to throw around.

Doesn't take long for the jumpers to hit ebay too.....a guy had posted two by Saturday night (Adams and Edwards)!!! Pretty piss poor, but I suppose as long as the initial purchase goes to club....but still disappointing that people/members who wanted the jumpers initially to display proudly cant purchase them fairly through the kangaroos auctions but now have to fight with others on ebay to shove profits in the pockets of greedy sellers and ebay itself!
