Unfortunately for Flanders, his injury coincided with the inclusion (and rise) of Humphrey. But this might be his chance to get back into the team. Drop a midfielder like Davies, and give him that spot.

I’m not a Flanders fan, but in his defence he has absolutely smashed it in the reserves for over a month. Rarely below 30 possessions a game. Working hard both ways and kicking goals.

But we know his papers are stamped, so I guess Dew would rather get games into other players.

Dew has never been one to apply the same standards though to all players.
We are very aware of that.

Not a massive Flanders fan either but he comes in for Davies for mine. It's hard to get a read on vfl form when some of the opposition is pretty average. Let's be honest sexton would have kicked 10 today

This is one of those cases though where when a bloke is starved of consistent opportunity, you can't expect him to adapt and get to that level we are seeing in AFL.

We know he can rack up the disposals (as mentioned rarely dropped below 30 the last month). Yes Humphrey's great. He killed it and deserves it.

Not trying to provoke anyone as I just love footy but if I was Flanders, I would be looking elsewhere if I wasn't named this week. He is out of contract.

We see it happen at all clubs and wouldn't be surprised if we lose some like Nick Bryan who is starved of ruck opportunty.
