The five "new" clubs had the following win-loss records in their first season:

West Coast: 11-11
Port Adelaide: 10-11-1
Adelaide: 10-12
Fremantle: 8-14
Brisbane Bears: 7-15

Gold Coast's list stacks up as well or better. I think they can win half their games.

I think there is a bigger gap between the top and bottom teams these days due to the whole 'rebuilding' or 'premiership window' mindset. I think a team which is very much in rebuilding mode with a team full of 18 year olds will be slaughtered by every team in premiership window mode. Probably by a few who are making the transition as well.

I'm guessing they'll have to pick up a couple of experienced key position players as they've pretty much just got Bock at the moment. If they go into the season pretty much as is, they'll struggle to win the ball out of the middle and struggle to score.

Bottom 4 for me.

No injuries + good draw + 1 or 2 more decent signinged = 7th to 10th

Injuries to key players + average draw + no more signings = 13th to last

i would say they are about 1-2 years behind Melbourne.

Top liners are better but the kids will be a bit inexperienced and need 1-2 years to catch up to were Melbourne are, but from then on a can see them raising rapidly.

Finish about 15-10th
Prediction: 12th

The eagles may keep them from the spoon, but I dont think so. No depth at all, only a couple of injuries away slaughter week after week

I can definitely see the potential for some 120 point losses in 2011. All teams use more than 30 players in a season. I worry about their 12th through to 22nd best. Their 23rd to 33rd might be pretty young. I can see huge problems for them.

i also believe David Swallow will be throw in to the deep end next year.
How often dose a drafty become the 3 best mid in there team straight away, he will get no transition just chucked straight in there under pressure to performer.

only Ablett and Riscatelli will be better if one of them has a bad day you would expect the tag to go straight to him.

Even Scully had Silvia, Moloney, Joens, Davey and even Trengrove to take pressure of him.

Martin had Delidio, Cotchin, Tuck, Foley, Jackson and Edwards ran though there with him as well.

i would expect other drafty's to be in the mix as well but when scully played his first game im posotive the opps would not of had a plan to stop him. i would assume they would have one for David next year.
