You must be watching different games to me because from what i've seen so far this year both carrazzo and scotland would find themselves easily in the top 10 of our b&f this year
That may well be true but TG's original point, in that for Carlton to progress Carrazzo and Scotland must be superseded, is still valid.
Further - I think the next 12 months without Kruezer provides the opportunity to develop what will become the main ruck combo for the Blues with Kruezer's best position elsewhere - wing, CHF, RR.........GC/BC?

That's absolutely right, they would be.

But are Scotland and Carrazzo top 10 players in a Premiership team? No.

I like both of them and they have both been great servants of the CFC but ultimately they will be overtaken before our next flag IMO.

Brereton was brilliant on last night's Footy Classified.

Brereton and Thomas speak their mind.

FC would be must see TV if they were on every week.

Lyon is nothing but an apologist for Melbourne who sits on the fence.

Lyon should get the sack from FC and be replaced with Dermott Brereton who speaks his mind and doesn't pull any punches with his former club.

Good call, bad call?

I can't stand Lyon and Brayshaw on the Footy Show.

I think Gibbs and to a lesser extent, Walker were playing back because Bower and Austin were out.

Walker is better at the grunt work and creating run than Carrazzo.

Better kick too.

We'd be a better football team with this midfield and backline in the future.

B: Armfield Jamison Tuohy
HB: Russell Austin Bower
C: Simpson Mclean Gibbs
R: Kreuzer Judd Murphy
HF: Yarran Henderson Robinson
F: Betts Waite Garlett

I/C: Walker Buckley Hampson Lucas

.
TG where's Jacobs??

Also, I think Walker has produced his best and most consistent football on the half back line, and should be played on the backline. GC/BC.

In light of our need to fill some key spots on the ground, and also taking into account Kruezer's injury, is it a good or bad call to trade Jacobs/Hampson at seasons end.

To give it some value...let's say GC would offer up pick 9 for either...good call or bad call?

Personally, bad call... Having Kreuzer going down with his knee injury has highlighed in my opinion the need for having 4 ruckmen on the list. *touch wood it doesnt happen* but what happens if we trade Jacobs or Hampson at the end of the year and then first game of next year, Knockers goes down with a broken leg?

Kreuzer still isnt back yet and suddenly we are left with 1 ruckman until Kreuzer or knockers is back.

If we dont trade one of our quality backups, then we are safe... If we do, we have to find an alternate ruckmen (Setanta or Henderson)

That just makes way to much sense D-Man. :thumbsu:

Warnock - already one of the most improved ruckman in the league and will be a gun.

Good call or bad call?

Look at the first two minutes of the last quarter in last week's game against Essendon. Sensational taps to the bloke running through.

Result? Three goals.

Plus he's starting to take marks around the ground.

Bad call, wasteful call!

Collingwood are only using one ruck and brown who plays forward and pinch hits, same with geelong and hawkins. This allows them another runner. Hamma, warnock and kruz all have big tanks and can run all day.

Hamma could nab us a top 10 pick, which we could use to draft a star in a position we need filled. Theres no point him wasting away in the 2s when kruez is back. Jacobs is a solid back up.

It's a conservative call really... think back to 2007...

Cain Ackland and Cameron Cloke.

One useless and the other injury prone. If we had of had 2 other ruckmen in the team that year, after Cam went down, they would have both been playing but instead we tried to utilise Setanta as a ruckman for most of the year.

Now we have 4 quality rucks on the team and people are talking about trading one of them away for a early pick. Admittedly a couple of early picks could see Hammer on his way up north, but I dont think that GC17 is going to fork out that much for him.

If we can train Hammer to be a Ruck/Forward then we could conceivably play with 3 ruckmen for the whole game when Kreuzer gets back.

I dont want to see the club reduced to the point where we have to use a makeshift ruckman for any part of a season again.

So call me selfish, but for mine, all our rucks are off the table unless the club chasing them is throwing something seriously special at us.

Bad Call, we need to settle our finals side against top quality opposition and bringing in Walker/Yarran/Hoops in too late could be costly. Marcus did well, but he has a taste now and can work on a few things now..

David Ellard will not be at Carlton next year because of limited opportunity, especially with McLean, Lucas, Grigg, Yarran and Dylan Buckley (soon) etc all to have more time in the middle.

GC/BC?
