Just like stengle with us and Adelaide, Stack just wasn't mean to be at Tigerland.

Hopefully he does do a Stengle.Just like stengle with us and Adelaide, Stack just wasn't mean to be at Tigerland.
May as well say 34. Pickett can longer remain on rookie list.So that is 34 on the senior list currently with Hopper and Taranto coming in right?
Edit: Sorry 33
Stack’s 2021 is often overlooked, he had some great games on the back end at half back
Wouldn't have to push anyone out, players get injured and form changes all the time. Think he would have absolutely been in the 30 odd players you need to win a flag.Who does he push out of the 22 though?
Completely agree on your comments regarding Aarts, yeah he wasn’t the greatest but loved the dream and was a popular guy around the club. Hopefully if there is no interest from anywhere else he remains with the VFL program. For all the s**t Aarts that he got from our fans we have to remember in perspective.
I have to respect the guy for chasing his dream as a mature age rookie and got the most out of himself.
If only Stacky had the heart of Jake we’d have a top line competition star.
He would’ve been on peanuts in our salary cap so he provided reasonable ‘value’ for his respective salary compared to others who might’ve been overpaid and clog a list.
Hopefully he takes some serious coin in country footy and enjoys the perks of work life balance outside of the afl bubble.
Given RCD’s strong finish to the season at VFL I reckon we would have considered delisting then picking him up in the rookie draft however seeing as tho that hasnt been announced i am going to guess somebody will take him as a delisted free agent.Reckon rcd and SS have a good chance of making it in the afl
Not surprised with the delistings. Surprised that the wording indicates none will be re-rookied.
I thought with so many late picks, that we’d prefer to have experienced players on the rookie list and not 53, 64 plus additional rookies.
Either way, it makes sense from a personnel standpoint. Hopper + Taranto and the emergence of Sonsie and Ross (and the long term chance MRJ becomes a midfielder) meant that RCD and Martyn are unlikely to push for AFL action.
Stack has all the talent, but when you have to make a decision on who to keep when competition for list spots is high, multiple instances of unprofessionalism will always count against you.
I will die on the RCD hill. I know most will say it’s a bust and a wasted pick. But for mine he was the exact high risk high reward pick that you should swing for at 20 (which is essentially the second round).
Another first round pick that got traded / delisted .
