Wait, Simon Goodwin just casually SAVING LIVES while out on holiday? Thought he was supposed to be some kind of crackhead..?

What a hero!!!
Knowing the preseason your boys have had to date, it will probably be revealed tomorrow it was him that threw them in the water to begin with. ;)

It was probably his bookie 😂

You were the one saying he does...go ahead and prove it.

Does Fagan have a problem with indigenous Australians?
Seriously you need to not go full defensive nuffie just because he is the Dees coach. Goodwin is an extremely poor character to have around the club - there is no real debate there
Goodwin has had confirmed issues with gambling, alcohol, violence, PEDS's. The President even went to the AFL over his drug use, so the rest of the board kicked him out and the AFL told him to keep quiet. None of this is made up.
Melbourne currently has a culture problem, led by the coach and a board that are liniment sniffers.

Maybe worry about our own club instead of whataboutisms.

We can't prove the allegations are true, and you can't prove they aren't.

Getting stroppy with people speculating on rumours board is only winding you up and making others laugh at your vehement defence.

So you think its okay to make seriously false allegations about Simon Goodwin and not get called out for it about how wrong and childish those allegations are.

The things I find most odd is the club initially denying they ever had any concerns with Goodwin. Obviously, they did, and it was always going to come out. If they had just said in the first place that they had concerns, looked into them and decided everything was clear it would have sounded a lot better (even if it wasn't true). Completely denying it just makes Kate Roffey and her colleagues look like liars, and you then can't trust anything else they say.

Bali is a weird holiday destination for a guy with an apparent crippling drug addiction

No "look like", it actually makes them liars.

Why isn't Roffey talking to the media about what they are or aren't doing after these revelations on the back of two straight sets exits? Maybe hoping saying nuffin will do the trick over the long off season.

I’m not totally against rec drugs when you’re young and exuberant but when you’re 40-50, married and have kids and you’re getting involved you are kidding yourself aren’t you?
I love hanging out with my friends and having a good time. Didn't realise there was an age limit on it.

Kidding yourself if you think this is the only life Goodwin has saved this off-season.

Only one the media has “caught wind” of.

I heard he’s on his way to the Gaza strip to negotiate the two-state solution next.

You heard it here first!!!

Three cheers for Goodwin the hero!!
Hippip! Hooray! Hippip! Hooray! Hippip! Hooray!

What a man. Incredible that he can do all of this while off his head on recreational drugs that he is somehow doing in a country where the punishment is the revocation of your permission to live. He is a brave and strong man, and very hot too. Also, if you ranked all the AFL coaches by who is a good chance to belt the average bloke he'd be top four easy.

You'd probably think of some wild coaching moves after a few lines. This could be groundbreaking

No wonder SIA (ASADA - not the singer whose fringe covers 60% of her face) deem cocaine to be performance enhancing. Throw the magnets around, chuck Kysaiah in the Ruck and send Gawny to the back pocket. Employ a rugby scrum at boundary throw ins. Have Gawn and Petty carry Fritta on their shoulders and walk around the field/forward line as an unstoppable marking target.

Bring on 2024.

DJ Shitboy one out in the F50

Crows probably 2 gun midfielders and maybe a better first ruck option away from being serious flag contenders (from an on field personnel view) but I get your point..

Doubt a dyed in the wool Port Adelaide Man in Choco would ever agree to join the Crows in some kind of coaching capacity tbh but who knows ?
He coached Glenelg. Same thing.

As much as I despise Goodwin and think he is one of the shittest blokes in the county, I'm having a bit of a chuckle at all these posters up on their high horse looking for the kill (especially Collingwood nuffs because they are having a cry over Steven May)

All AFL clubs are degrees of bad - led by the AFL themselves.

I know a current (non-Melbourne) coach who pressured 18 year old players into taking pills when he was captain - told them they would be out of the club if they didn't get on the gear, they needed to be part of the team in Vegas.
I know a current assistant coach that is one of the loosest blokes I've ever met. Is currently working with his third club.
I know of a newly appointed coach that was loved as he was always "one of the boys" and last man standing when he left AFL and was playing local football.

Will tag a few posters when the shoe is on the other foot. The crap about some club being better than others is just that. Have a bit of self-awareness, your club is just as messed up as the rest, it just goes in cycles.

The pill pressuring coach must be Adam Simpson. Interesting.
