Filed between the faked NASA moon landing, and video of Elvis Presley working in the local Echuca McDonalds fast food outlet no doubt ...
 
Firstly I have no connection with either club

I was in Echuca for the long weekend and went and watched this game.

There were players wrestling (after beattie started the scuffle) and Beattie came off second best...

No player ran 70-100 meters to king hit him...

If 2 people are wrestling or fighting, I don't agree with the 3rd person in throwing a punch.. It must have been a decent punch to cause the damage I seen on the picture of the paper. This is not really flying the flag mate, but normally the cause of all in brawls or further square ups.,
I watch a fair bit of footy and often see wrestling, which is usually broken up by other players usually via way of dragging players off.

Am I missing something..

Anyway as I said I didn't see the incident or follow either side.,

overtheborder stated that Beattie was throwing punches. He was there as an alleged unbiased witness. So if Beattie was throwing punches and a Rochy player comes into the situation...

I knew I should have stayed out of this one. I might have to take the automatic 2 weeks suspension off big footy. But I will leave that up to my mate silver tongue to decide..Lol

Turbo: read my previous posts regarding the mobile phone footage. Also I beleive their is a big story on win news tonight regarding the "event" as silver tongue calls it if my mail is correct. My guess if their is mobile ph footage of the incident then it will be saved for the investigation if it exists. I doubt it would be let out on a forum like this. Guess we will wait and see.

Well someone better take a pic of the front page as I do not buy the local rag due to the headline negativity of some editor that thinks he is running the Daily Planet and is Perry "The Pit Bull" White, the Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Planet. No doubt another negative attention seeking crap headline and that my friend is my whole point!

Was an article in one of ringos favorite newspapers yesterday the shepp news that Echuca have written a letter to Simon Devine paid the fee and requested an investigation, an investigator will be appointed and he has 21 days to come up with his findings .

Certain journo's alliance with councillors sees them write some very one sided dramatised articles. The dramatisation and one sided journalism , I would suggest is the same reason everyone is pissed with the shitbox newspaper for it's coverage on this matter .
 
Three pages of posts and the only things I can take out of it are:

  1. A Rochy player hit an Echuca player and caused significant injury
  2. The Echuca player was in there swinging prior
  3. overtheborder has a frightening inability to self reflect

So are you the town's sheriff OTB or Lipservice or whoever? The whole argument is that the paper continues to place negative issues on the front page that are sensational and negative. Does this article stop domestic violence? Not on your life! Was it courageous? Yes. My continued argument is that the paper has not had a front page article for a long time that has had a positive feel good story. As long as pictures are on the front page you will like the paper as with your rather limited IQ it might be easier to comprehend. Now I await all of the friends that you have made on this forum as either OTB or Lipservice in the past week to come running from the hills...gee I will be like Custer! And as for awareness...perhaps you grab some of that at the shop when you are buying some common sense.
