Think im right in saying Ky and Keilor are playing today should be a high quality battle.

Benalla having a hit out with Albury. Good contest, both have a few out - Benalla maybe 3-4 players, Albury 6-8. Probably more quality out from the Albury side though. Benalla midfield will be as good as any, forward line will be serviceable but big concerns with back line.

Wasn't at the game but have heard that Warnock suffered a ruptured spleen. If so a serious injury and can only wish him a speedy recovery. Bad blow for the Saints.

Nasty hopefully he is ok. How did Benalla go in the game?

I assume Rochy didn't have a praccy match last weekend? Do they have anything scheduled? Round One is very soon.

Well done to the Rochy United cricket boys too. They've been close the last few years, good to see them get up for a premiership win. Great bunch of blokes. :thumbsu:

Big signing for Sheep Bears..James Wong a Deer Park forward has signed on![/QUOTE
Very good player but will find Gv footy very different and far more competetive than playing at Deer Park where very few close games and average winning margins last 3 years being 10 goals plus.

Very scratchy for first half, keilor run over ky in second half as expected. Keilors 3rd practice match, Kys first. Liam barrett very impressive out of the backline and pettifier stood out in forward line. With big numbers out of both teams good workout. Ky definitely need good backup for Reeves, some questions about smith returning?

His brother is coming to play as well.

So two Wongs will make it Wright

Apparently it takes four Wongs to make a Wright...

Whats the info on Smith, is he injured or having second thoughts old mate

It will be interesting to see how many he kicks, was second only to Fevola in goals kicked in the O&M in the 2 seasons he spent at Wang. I think around 60 goals each year, keep in mind Wang were not a finals side when he was there either. With Mellington going to OM and Wong to GV it might give a good comparison when comparing how many each kick. Ie OM traditionally not a high scoring league considering the standard of players. I think the average winning score would be around 12-13 goals while in the GV you tend to see a few more goals kicked.

Will keep an eye on the tallies,
Mellington 160 odd goals in 2 seasons in GV and Wong 120 odd in 2 seasons of OM.

Sorry to go back on old ground but from the KDFL board it appears Ardmona won't be having a thirds and I heard from numerous sources today Shepp swans are struggling for under18 numbers . Not good for football when clubs so close to one of the largest cities in victoria are struggling for junior numbers.
Where are the future senior players going to come from ?

Unfortunately it is clear that there are just too many clubs for the number of active participants
