Haven’t seen Benalla play as yet this year so I’m off to Benalla tomorrow to have a look at how the Saints are travelling. I expect them to win easily against Mooroopna.

Yer not sure what the thinking is but they do seem to drag out the season. They have a staggered start, a couple of split rounds and a general bye. Not sure that it does anything other then fill the calendar between the start of the year and the need they have to finish on the traditional Sunday each year. Wouldn’t the players all just want a general bye instead of a split round. Yep I have no idea what the rationale is for this.
Now finish one week ahead of the traditional Sunday after AFL GF.

2nd Half of the Round and I feel the best game of the round was last week sadly

Benalla vs Mooroopna: Benalla to win by 10 goals

Shepp vs United: Shepp to win by 10 goals

Seymour vs Rochy: It was Seymour in a upset however No Cole, Rochy to win.

I'd be stunned if ky is spending 160k on its players.

Looking at the team that won by 200 points how many have played bushes by my count 5 did..

Ky bombers steal the talent at 16. I got asked to play there over Lancaster. Seems the way to build a strong senior team.

Don’t think it’s really stealing talent that the better 16 year olds generally head to Ky to play a higher standard of football! It’s also a situation that Lancaster are more than comfortable with, there is also a lot of player movement at senior level between the two clubs..

More clubs need to establish that kind of relationship with the major league clubs. Been saying that over here for years. Thinking has to change

Clubs shouldn't have chance it should have been formalized 5 years ago. Have clubs working together rather than against.
A interesting article in the border mail about clubs closing / mergering , which I dont agree with. Fix the issue not put a band aid on it

What do u mean?
Sorry chance should have been choice . I think major league clubs should be aligned to district clubs and vice versa. Alignment being that players can move to and from the aligned clubs and be 1 point . Imo would allow and encourage clubs to develop kids into senior footballers by starting in district seniors at a younger age . Would also see kids in their prime encourage to go to nearby major leagues clubs without a competition of payment and likewise older players going to district comps. Could also have it that if a club recruits a player from a competing clubs aligned club they have to pay all clubs xxxx amount of dollars

GVL club already have clubs aligned to the District clubs and has been for about 2 year. I do argee that there need to be one pointer or even zero pointers(as they are talent in the catchment area)

A bit of googling would of given you an answer

That is merely for kids to be able to go to a club once they leave junior footy.
However once they play 5 games of senior footy they are tied to that club only.
Quite dissimilar to what I was proposing , it also see's clubs in as bidding war to get the kids to 5 games at their club, so they can have them as a 1 pointer and no one else can.

And hopefully more movement our way again next year

In this document it is stated that as when it was implemented (2016 ) that as the PDFNL was not using the points system they were not included, is this likely to be amended/updated now that the league had been using the system for the last couple of seasons including 2017 when they were affiliated and are affiliated going forward or are they going to be continued to be ignored?

What level did you get asked to play in?
