Any issue with points?
You were promising a name last week if I recall ... an announcement.
Interesting to see what happens. No disrespect but people inside the club need to keep these things quiet until all signed and delivered IMO. Loose lips sink ships.Possibly an issue with points Silver. Not close to the club Ringo but know someone who is.

Euroa have locked them all in and expecting a few more from what I’m hearing. Need a dominant ruck to compete with the top sides. They actually need a couple of big signings now in my opinion. Fair bit of quality has now left including their best two young on ballers. Allan is a big loss, he was there enforcer physically and if faulks doesn’t play that will put a lot of pressure on valentine. Interesting times. Any other movements around the league, are euroas recruits all still playing this year?
Mate that is a concern if true. If anything country clubs need more points that their city cousins, otherwise getting players can become more problematic.Your finger is on the pulse Ringo.
In regards to points for 2021.
All listed players of metro clubs in 2020 drop 1 point for 2021.
Vic country leagues are not following suit?
Surely this cannot be true?
Double standards?
Surely the people in charge of the GV would look after their clubs?
Rules came in that if you were a player at your chosen club in 2019 and return in 2021 you will lose the two points, so if you were a 4 in 2019, in 2021 you will be a 2. But if you transferred to the club for the 2020 season your points will remain the same in 2021 as you have not played a game for the club.Mate that is a concern if true. I agree it’s Ridiculous. Why don’t AFL Vic show some balls and enforce a common rule for footy in this state. They put the points system document in place across the state so why don’t they step in now. It’s a joke there is discrepancies between metro & country with regards to this ruling re points for 2021.Your finger is on the pulse Ringo.

Got a good source for info Ultrajet dogwar2 .Rules came in that if you were a player at your chosen club in 2019 and return in 2021 you will lose the two points, so if you were a 4 in 2019, in 2021 you will be a 2. What's your take on this Roar?Got a good source for info Ultrajet dogwar2 .
Ask the questions ya get the answers from the league mate lol.Got a good source for info Ultrajet dogwar2 .
I think you can look at it two ways .What's your take on this Roar?
I was a bit disappointed that players that had committed to the club for 2020 and are returning for 2021 don’t lose a point, but there would be a lot of grey area there on what classed as committed for 2020.I think you can look at it two ways .
1. It’s great because the affect of the points system will delayed . it is basically giving clubs an extra 5-6 points .
2. It’s stupid why have a system which isn’t being followed , it resets the system back to when it was first introduced and allows for additional recruiting despite no season .
Guess it depends on whether you do or don’t support the points System .
Obviously picked up a few last year ultra and was wanting to top up again ?I was a bit disappointed that players that had committed to the club for 2020 and are returning for 2021 don’t lose a point, but there would be a lot of grey area there on what classed as committed for 2020.
Cleared and contract signed, announced on socials pre covid made sense, but it is what it is.
Yep, except metro are losing a point for each player for the 2020 season.Obviously picked up a few last year ultra and was wanting to top up again ?
Personally think the system has a lot of flaws but don’t understand why there was any need for any extra points to be taken off , 2020 didn’t happen . The most likely scenario is that metro Melbourne felt it needed to happen so they could target ex VFL players and as is always the case country had to follow .
Scrap the points system and I would be a happy man. Salary caps have a place, although plenty of clubs in various leagues undermine the cap via varied nefarious processes. The point system has in fact reduced the quality of country footy without creating necessary equity. Harder for bottom sides to rise up the ladder and easier for those on top to remain on top.I think you can look at it two ways .

Silver I have long advocated that the time and resources spent on trying to stop and restrict clubs would be better off spent on educating people on sustainable management and marketing .Scrap the points system and I would be a happy man.
