Almost 10 years since last played GV footy. Would hardly think he would be the same dominate player he once was. I hope United can improve but cant see them in the finals mix. Osborne has to change the game style otherwise they will be lucky to get a man and his dog to watch it.
Played in the 2013 GF with United and played plenty of decent Footy since I'm not sure about the state of his knee though.

lsck of numbers. Wil have a few good year to come but after that not a chance rochy can compete at under 16s level in the gv! It takes a ridiculous amount of recruiting in under 18s from minor league towns like Lockington, colbo and Elmore to stay competitive.
At under 16s level lot harder to get kid’s in
I've seen that Rochy have put a side in the Under 16's Shepp Juniors League, which would be a better fit competitively for now, but I hope they can try to have a crack at the GVFL Under 16's at a later date. I know it's tougher for clubs like them, but Euroa & Tatura have had a go, so it's not impossible.

It divides some , but IMO club associated junior football should be the only junior football . This is idea of multiple teams in junior comps leading to only one 3rds team , is significantly impacting kids playing into and beyond 3rds . Clubs having 2-3 under 12 , under 14 , under 16 teams and then still recruiting for thirds is BS.

Not sure mate but believe that there could be a 2 week break for all clubs

Think everyone is waiting on some sort of direction across all levels or industry, public sector, education departments etc etc but I can't help but think if the media outlets pulled back a bit with some of the narrative's then this might bubble along with a lot less stress and hysteria.

I gotta agree with Post padding above about more prevelant issues at local clubs like the punt now she's fully accesible via mobile devices, not to mention the recreational drug stuff. In terms of the virus, as long as we have stock up with 2-3 years worth of poo tickets that seems to be the remedy :tongueclosed:

The media have hyped this virus to the point of hysteria it’s ridiculous to be honest.

You’d think the plague has returned or Ebola has hit our shores

STATEMENT: VFL Practice Match # 3 vs. Casey Demons

The Port Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise of the cancellation of this Saturday’s VFL practice match against the Casey Demons, originally set down to take place at Casey Fields at 11:30am.

Following constant dialogue with both the Casey and Melbourne Football Clubs, the overriding decision has been made by Casey and Melbourne to cancel the match in response to the ongoing developments surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

Under the circumstances, the Port Melbourne Football Club is supportive and understanding of this decision.

The Port Melbourne Football Club is continuing to monitor the latest medical advice and official reports from The Australian Government Department of Health, as well as implement strategies to ensure the safeguarding of health for players, coaches, staff, members and supporters.

Click HERE to review previous advice sent to Port Melbourne Members.

At this stage, the Borough’s fourth and final practice match against Frankston scheduled for next Saturday 21st March remains unaffected, however we do acknowledge that the coronavirus situation remains unstable and is subject to drastic developments on a day-to-day basis; and will advise accordingly if further changes to the season do occur.

We thank our members and supporters for their continued support and understanding during these challenging times.

If there is going to be a close down it needs to be nation wide and the boarders need to be closed until the risk is removed by way of vaccination or completed eradication .
Unless the possibility of spread and re - introduction is completely removed any closure is a complete waste of time .
