Hard to see them recovering from this, they had great U/18 teams in 2016-2018 probably have very few of those youngsters still there.Hope those that overthrew the President etc have a good plan
They will be right I think tough year ahead but United always has a streamline of kids and is a popular place to play.Hard to see them recovering from this, they had great U/18 teams in 2016-2018 probably have very few of those youngsters still there.
Football in general in Shepparton at a very low point.
Doesnt look too popular at presentThey will be right I think tough year ahead but United always has a streamline of kids and is a popular place to play.
What I should of said us it's a popular choice of Clubs for Kids to play at. If you get them at under-age level you have a chance of getting them to continue on into the Senior ranks.Doesnt look too popular at present
I reckon the 2000's Post. More importantly United, Shepp Swans and Shepparton all won premierships prior to or during Kyabram's dominance. And now all look ordinary. That indicates a problem at club level rather than performance. When was the last time the three Shepp sides all played finals in the same year ?
When was the last time swans or United played finals silver? Must be close to a decadeI reckon the 2000's Post. Swans 2014 premiers and United have played in 3 gf winning 2 of those since 2010When was the last time swans or United played finals silver? Must be close to a decade
United haven't played finals since 2013, that's 9 years. They will be lucky to win a game next year, as it looks like the club starts from scratch again.Swans 2014 premiers and United have played in 3 gf winning 2 of those since 2010

Swans since 2016, so although they had a really poor year in 2018.
Are 5 of the final 6 set already?
Echuca
Ky
Eurora
Seymour
Rochy
???
Looking at that prediction was why I asked about all the Shep sides playing finals together.
It doesn’t seem uncommon for KY, Echuca and Rochy to make finals at the same time . Or the Eastern end of Seymour, Euroa Benalla Mansfield to have 3 in real contention to make the finals.
Shep sides seem more boom and bust
Having a look at Echuca, with Echuca United and Moama, there is never a season when all 3 are up and about at the same time. One is always rooted to the bottom of the ladder while 1 or 2 of the others are succesful.
Not as much as there was in the past few years. Always believed that two of the three should be in the GV. An Echuca/Moama rivalry would be good for the comp. The issue is that the township of Echuca has also provided players for clubs such as Picola, Mathoura, LBU, Deni, Cohuna, Kyabram and even Rochester over the years. Is there much movement between these 3 clubs? Guys crossing over to the GV or back and forth?
Echuca moama is also half the size of Shepp. When was the last time a Shepp side had a big name recruit sign on?Having a look at Echuca, with Echuca United and Moama, there is never a season when all 3 are up and about at the same time. Brock McClean would've been the last but that didn't last long.Echuca moama is also half the size of Shepp. When was the last time a Shepp side had a big name recruit sign on?
You think training in November is essential to Winning a Flag? I think it's stupidity myself & counts for nothing in the wash up.Which sides have returned to training this week? Most clubs usually return to pre-season around this time. Any clubs holding off longer or have already started back earlier? As they say... "premierships aren't won in November.... but they are certainly "lost"
