Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2)

I think you will find withers wont return either way.. Just had a kid and the 8 hour return trip would have been getting to him towards the end.. If kyabram hadve kept their ist together and added 4-5 they would have been top 3..no good losing 4 then picking up 4

Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2)

So are there any names being thrown around to coach Seymour?

ive heard a whisper Adam Iaccobucci (who knows how to spell it) who used to play for collingwood is a candidate... originally from preston way and played a few vfl reserves games for the bullants growing up, before he got drafted, with a couple of current seymour fellas i understand... would be left field id imagine

His sister Katrina is a world class Taekwondo competitor. Competes at World Champs etc...very 'fit' too!

He'd be a good player in the GV too, I was surprised he wasn't given more games at the Pies...looking at other players we took at the same draft who were kept longer.

Whithers committed to Ky for next year in his speach at the Best and Fairest last weekend.

Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2)

Fair chance Mansfield will be top couple this year with Kelly as coach, with his contacts you'd think 8-10 new players could be a possibilty? Rochy will improve even further you'd think with the early signing of Guy Campbell and the likely returns of Brennan, Aitken and Anderson? Last seasons early favourites in Seymour and the Swans might be on the slide, wouldn't think that Seymour would drop right away in a hurry but it's likely they won't be the dominant force they once were. Other whisper is the Tat Bulldogs will be back on the map with some big signings early on. Might take a year or 2 to be a force but don't be suprised to see them feature in finals as soon as next season!

im sorry i tell a lie... my wires got crossed somewhere but it's not seymour iaocabucci has been linked with it's tatura... one of their new recruits, cameron trewin, played st bernards in 1999 which is where iaocabucci was drafted to collingwood from... apparently he played a few games up as an under-age kid

Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2)

Bit of guess work at this early stage but my ladder is:

Rochester
Mansfield
Mooroopna
Kyabram
Seymour
United
Tatura
Benalla
Euroa
Swans
Echuca
Bears

Bit of guess work alright. Pretty hard picking ladders in October based on a few big footy stories of player pick ups and losses.

Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2)

have heard quite a few echuca players are on the move.
has anyone else heard of this??

Yeah I heard that too. Maybe someone else could tell us who's on the move. I heard that they're gaining a few too.
