would it be fair to say kaybram would be fav for the flag at this stage?.. echuca would be if they had all the players from seniors in the thirds.

Well who wants to comment when all the talk is about the worst team in the league! (aka shep bears)

well if shepp bears are the worst team in the league then why aren't sitting on the bottom with out a win mate?

Given the large squad selected for interleague who are the certanties to play against the O & M? Does anyone know the process for team selection or reducing the squad over the coming weeks?

Well goin on previous years selections the squad will be picked politically on who knows who. Givin that shep united, bears and echuca 3rds coaches are coaching the interleague side you can pretty much guarntee that a large % of the team will be from these 3 clubs regardless if they are the best 22 (not sure on sqad size though). I heard that last year not one player from ky got picked in the interleague squad and they were runners up in last years grand final. Certainties though to be in would have to be 3rds players who are currently playing seniors i would imagine.

I hear what you say but with clubs given a specific number to nominate depending on ladder position I think this will be eliminated. Well done to the league for making those changes. Wouldn,t you agree that this process is far more transparent? Given what happened last year this is a big step forward.

yes i would agree....the rochy lad playing seniors the last few weeks (no 2 i think) would have to be a certainty...perfomred quite well from what i hear....must be a talent getting a game in that senior team in front of some of last years premiership players

Oakley maybe? Pretty sure he played/plays pio's as well. Rochy 1's have a pretty good ruck duo in Brennan and Anderson, but don't know if they are injured so he is getting a game. Agreed - he is a very good player who should make the U18 team easy enough.

The kid wearing number 2 is sam driscoll. is probably rochys best thirds player. oakley has been playing 3rds

Euroa Vs Bears this week, bottom two sides obviously desperate not to be holding the rest up. what do people think..??? euroa a little under-maned only ended up with 15 on the feild against mooroopna last w/e but should all be fully fit this week.
cheerio

ky 3rds looking the goods at this stage of the year, still yet to hit their straps and take it to the next level i sense it may be coming soon and thats with 4 quality players out of the team :thumbsu:

does anybody know how the under 18 squad is travelling?? what numbers are left?? any surprise cuts??

That civa kid from ky who used to have massive afro got cut...... WTF? he gets like 40 touches a game and kills it everytime he plays us

Yeah Civa is one of the better players in the comp, that is a load of crap... Terrible decision. I think the whole process is just a joke.. Same with the way they select bushies squads and stuff, its all a load of crap. They really need to review how they go about selecting these kids.

i agree, same as last year with the ky boys they made the granny and not 1 of the players was in the 3rds interleague team, selectors r idiots

A few of you boys need to get in touch with reality. 48 of the best footballers in GV were initially nominated. Over 3 training nights cuts were made. It would not have been an easy task to split similar type players. At the end of the day it looks like the selectors got it right. Civ is having a good year but you could not put him in ahead of Ogden, Childs, Preece, Dundon or Ismail all of which have played well at senior GV level this season. He was unlucky that he was up against quality smalls for a spot. The boys selected deserve their spot, the boys that missed out, well, they missed out.
