Hello fellow addicts, there hasn't been a game opened since the last one and MC Bad Genius was suffering withdrawal so I've started one even though MP_ is the one on leave

Roles and Rules

Spoiler: Rules & Etiquette

Basic rules:

Roles will be randomly assigned to all players, which will be communicated via PM (except villagers). The villagers must identify and kill all players not aligned with the village before these players can kill enough villagers to satisfy their win condition. Only one faction can win the game.

Each turn will consist of two phases.

Night phase (9:00pm – 9:30am AEST)

Day phase (9:30am – 9:00pm AEST)

Voting:

The reason for lynching rule will not be used for this game.

Please bold the name of the player you wish to lynch and tag the moderator. Valid votes will get a

Votes will not be counted if they are not bolded. All players must vote for a player to be lynched. Votes to abstain will not be counted as a vote. Voting is mandatory, failing to vote will result in a modkill.

If there is a tie in voting, a randomiser will be used to choose the unlucky victim.

DISCUSSING THE GAME

While the game is running players are not permitted to discuss the game anywhere but in this thread, the Dead PM or PM’s related to this game, if you have one. Posting screenshots and quoting PM’s are prohibited. Players caught breaching these rules will be modkilled without warning.

DEAD PLAYERS

Players who are killed are permitted to post a farewell post provided that it does not impact the game (eg. “thanks for the game” or “good luck”). Dead players must leave the game immediately and are not permitted to post or like posts in the game thread or any PM they are a part of (except the Dead PM) until the end of the game.

EDITING/DELETING POSTS

Players are not permitted to edit or delete posts during the game. Doing so will result in the player being modkilled

Factions & Roles

Faction sizes will be determined once numbers are finalised.

EVIL Factions

Mafia
Mafia will consist of four players
Godfather - Night Immune. Seers as villager; Gets a seer each night.
Random mafia roles - All other mafia members will be assigned random mafia roles from the below examples

Underboss - Upon the death of the Godfather assumes their position

Manipulator - secretly changes one players vote the next day, cannot target the same player on consecutive nights

Roleblocker - picks one player to block all night actions from - for the purpose of roleblock faction kills are performed by the lowest surviving member of that faction

Blackmailer - picks one player each night who must then vote for the player they are told to or be killed, cannot target the same player on consecutive nights

Intimidator - sets one player a posting challenge for the next day, this could be anything game related but does not include the players vote, mod has final say on whether the intimidation can be submitted. failure to complete the intimidation results in death, cannot pick the same player on consecutive nights

Goon - assists with kills


Wincon - All other evil and neutral factions eliminated, equal or outnumber the village

Wolves
Wolves will consist of four players

Alpha - Night Immune. Seers as villager; Gets a seer each night.
Random wolf roles - All other wolves will be assigned random mafia roles from the below examples

Beta - Upon death of the Alpha assumes there position

Cub - Upon their death the wolves get an extra kill the following night phase

Mother - Can protect one other player each night from all actions, cannot pick the same player on consecutive nights. Can self protect

Rabid wolf - Once per game can choose to bite another player, if the bite is successful a coin toss will decide whether the target dies or joins the wolves faction.

Sly wolf - Remains in human form at night so always seers as villager, assists with kills

Wolf - assists with kills

Wincon - All other evil and neutral factions eliminated, equal or outnumber the village

Neutral Faction

Two of the below roles are in the game

Serial Killer - Night Immune, seers as villager, each night gets one kill
Wincon - Survive to final four

Arsonist - Night immune, seers as vilager, each night can choose to douse a player or ignite any previously doused players
Wincon - Survive to final four

Head Vampire - Recruits on odd nights, kills on even nights. Maximum faction size is 4 players. Seers as villager when recruiting, is night immune when killing. Recruits will seer as vampires and are not night immune. If head dies vamps can continue to kill on even nights but cannot recruit.
Wincon - All other evil and neutral factions eliminated, equal or outnumber the village

Doppleganger - Choose one player before the game to take the role of when they die. Once that player dies the doppleganger will take on their wincon and any powers they have, but will not join any faction PMs

Wincons - Survive to the final 4 as doppleganger/wincon of role they take over


Good Faction
There are all bar one of the good roles from the below list, all other remaining players will be villagers

Seer - each night picks one player to learn their role

Doctor - Can protect one other player each night from all actions, cannot pick the same player on consecutive nights. Can self protect

Vigilante - Picks one target each night to kill

Mayor - votes count as two

Flogs - 3 players that share a PM and have a one off seer, protect and kill

JOAT - Can either kill, protect or seer a player of their choice each Night Phase, but cannot use the same action in consecutive nights and must use all actions before repeating.

Wincon - all evil and neutral factions eliminated

Night One
As the sun rose to signal the start of another day the village stirred to life. Rubbing eyes full of sleep, stretching, yawning, shuffling into the kitchen to make breakfast.

A normal morning for most, peaceful, slow. But not for all.

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT
As the village was recovering from the shock of the death of three of their own (mostly) another tragedy as unfolding

In a small cottage on the outskirts of town a villager was drinking their third iced coffee of the morning while posting on the village message boards from their ipad.

Their finger slipped and they accidentally changed their message which was against the village board rules

Mod Announcement
While the village was still reeling from comma-gate another member of the town was busy making their own insignificant but fatal mistake.

Perhaps it was the pressure of their job, or perhaps they were distracted by some french new wave cinema playing in the background.

Either way they hit send on a message that went to the wrong thread

The votes came fast and the lead changed many time but in the end as the dust settled the body swinging belonged to

Night Two
Death attracted death, and there had recently been a lot of it. But the thirst for more existed and another bloody night passed in the village

Day Two
While a few people voted elsewhere the majority had their eyes on one figure.

He claimed to be speaking straight but few believed him and so they strung him up to find out

Night Three
The villagers hunkered down for another night wondering who would be dead come morning. Next thing they knew the sun was up the waiting was over.
