Here's a good one from the other night. Gizmo comes from the bleachers at about the 30 second mark, knocking the s**t out of me. I lose momentum and then get tagged by every person coming past, dropping me from 4th to 10th. You can see how far back he is in the rear view screen in bottom right.

Best bit was in the comments after the race, he was abusing a couple of other drivers for being dirty

Unfortunately the inside dive bomb seems to be rarely penalised, so it happens quite often now. You just need to be prepared for it. If I seem them coming in the mirrors, I just hold the line a bit longer before turning in so they overshoot the corner. Costs me some speed, but least I don't get bumped and have to get back on track without spinning.

Annoying as it is, it's still better than getting butt-rammed by someone at top speed as you're braking. That seems to not be happening as much as I remember when I last was playing this regularly.

I just read that when GT Sports online servers were shut down in January, the dev released a patch where offline saving is now possible and all game modes can now be played/saved without needing online. So this pretty much bodes well for GT 7’s future preservation and the game won’t just become a coaster when the servers are eventually shut down?

Yeah would be a lot of throttle feathering in an auto. Manual makes it easy once you get used to it, allowing you to gear up before the revs kick in and spin you out in the high powered cars.

Made it in auto finally. Got a second too which was a surprise. Was sweating bullets on the last lap. Unfortunately I didn't realise that was the final menu so was a bit sad. No wonder it was so ****ing hard. Just have the collector menus to complete now which will take a while given how expensive some of the cars are...

Amassing quite the fleet of Ferraris. I have decided all Ferraris in my garage must be Rosso Corsa.

I also have just Interlagos left to complete in the X2019 Nations Cup. I doubt this will ever happen because it is just too ****ing hard. Great track though.

Actually fired this up for the first time in ages.

Have done all the menus, just doing the car collection ones now. 72% through the offline races as well. Working at that now.

Great game, always enjoy playing it.

I don't play online. I just have interlagos left in the red bull championship menu but I can't do better than 5th. Even after painting my car red in a final act of desperation to make it go faster.

I have been enjoying collecting cars though and the weekly challenges are still fun (and the only way to make cash besides grinding).

Yeah will be having a bash when I get back from the 12hr this weekend. I heard there is a ton of new menus. Will check out the online as well.

Anyone done the F3500 race? I can't get near them. Can't navigate the two sharper corners without braking at least a bit and lose the cars ahead every time.

Yep. Go to the mod shop. There's a couple of things you can do. I also slammed the suspension to the ground and adjusted the transmission to give me a top speed of 330km/hr iirc that seemed to get me from 10th to first. Still have to race well though..

Online is Jekyll and Hyde. You can have awesome nights of fun & clean racing, then follow it up with a night of being taken out in every race and watching the culprits drive off without penalty.
